摘要:
In response to the Food and Drug Administration's publication in February of a “reproposed rule” describing its plans to develop model food labeling statements for health messages on foods and its plan to revise nutrient labeling requirements on food for the first time in 17 years, several professional organizations have prepared responses. The position statement on food labeling from the American Institute of Nutrition and the American Society for Clinical Nutrition is reproduced here. A comparison of this with the statement released by the American Dietetic Association reveals a reassuring level of agreement among the three professional groups.
