A comprehensive survey of the world literature published in 1979 on earthquake hazard mitigation has been assembled in the ninth volume of the Abstract Journal inEarthquake Engineering. More than 1600 abstracts of reports, papers, and other publications from professional journals, consulting firms, and conferences are included in the volume. Abstracts of publications from research, educational, and government institutions round out the volume's coverage.
