摘要:
During the past 4 years, instruments of the Earth Radiation Budget Experiment (ERBE) have been collecting data on two satellites. The first of these is the Earth Radiation Budget Satellite (ERBS). The second is the operational NOAA‐9 satellite. In addition, ERBE has instruments on the operational NOAA‐10. The NOAA‐10 instruments have been collecting data for the last 2 years. The ERBE Science Team has recently completed validation of an initial sampling of these data. As a result, the ERBE Project will be placing these data in the archive at the National Space Science Data Center (NSSDC). The validation activity has involved intensive examination of data in 4 months during 1985 and 1986: April, July, and October 1985, and January 1986. This paper reports on the data being placed in the archive to acquaint the scientific community with their availab

摘要:
The fourth annual meeting of the CEDAR (Coupling, Energetics, Dynamics of Atmospheric Regions) initiative was held June 21–26 at the National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR) in Boulder, Colo.; 222 scientists including 66 students attended. Barbara Emery of NCAR was local meeting organizer. The increase in student attendance, double the year before, was a meeting highlight. The high quality of poster papers pointed to the excellent caliber of the students. The CEDAR initiative has, from the start, emphasized support for students. Their response augurs well for the future of aeromon
