摘要:
A new algorithm for efficient determination of topological observability in water-system state estimation has been proposed. The algorithm is based on observation that the search for a spanning tree of full rank can be performed as a sequence of maximum assignments. After giving a brief outline of the observability theory expressed in terms of water systems, the algorithm is described in full detail. Computational efficiency of the algorithm is evaluated on a 34-node water distribution system.

摘要:
The paper presents a modified approach to state-space self-tuning pole-assignment control. The recursive prediction error method is used for joint state and parameter estimation in the controllable canonical form. This simplifies the state feedback law by eliminating the online computation of transformation matrices. The resulting algorithm is thus a feasible solution to the adaptive control of nonminimum-phase systems.

摘要:
A criterion is introduced for determining the optimum sampling interval for the identification of system parameters. It increases the accuracy and stability in identification procedures. This is done by employing a bilinear transformation from thez-plane to thew-plane. Some results of simulations are also included. These reveal the usefulness of the suggested algorithm even in the presence of measurement noise.

摘要:
Two different approaches to optimising the performance of the roll-loop in a bank-to-turn (BTT) CLOS guidance system are considered. The first minimises integral squared error, while the second produces a design which is optimal in a minimum-time sense. The performances of the roll-loops are studied both in isolation and within the BTT CLOS guidance system. A conventional roll-loop design is also considered for comparison purposes. Simulation results demonstrate the improvements associated with these optimal designs. Sensitivity to parameter variations is also investigated.
