摘要:
Statistical bounds for model parameters and corresponding system frequency-response limits are established. The results are extended to multivariable systems to produce an element-by-element characterisation of system uncertainty. This uncertainty representation can be used to develop frequency-response bounds on the eigenfunctions of perturbed multivariable systems; thus producing system gain and phase information via a generalised Nyquist analysis. An application of the technique is presented using a two-input/two-output system.

摘要:
Optimal control theory is used to design three controllers for a fixed-wing-angle bank-to-turn (BTT) missile in a CLOS guidance system. An optimal control law which minimises integral squared error produces unacceptably high demands in roll rate. Overall economy in roll action may be achieved by inclusion of a penalty on roll rate in the cost. The third design, based on two bang-bang compensators, is closed-loop and produces a novel roll action. Simulation results demonstrate the merits of the different designs.

摘要:
Characterisation for the class of decentralised control that assigns a prescribed set of eigenvalues for a large-scale dynamically delayed interconnected system is given in the paper. By expanding the system state space the delay disappears and a higher dimensional state space is created. The equivalent systems controllability originates from substystems interconnections controllability. Increased dimensionality is no longer a problem, because, by partitioning the composite eigenvectors, the augmented problem is decomposed to several similar subproblems that subsystems interconnections are required to solve. Sufficient conditions for global eigenvalue assignment are established in terms of subsystems-interconnections matrices. A synthesis procedure for the characterisation is presented through exploiting the available freedom within subsystems/interconnections kernel spaces.

摘要:
Applications of the shifted Legendre polynomials expansion to the analysis and identification of the nonlinear time-delayed system, described by a memoryless nonlinear element followed by a linear plant with time delay, are studied. The system described here is assumed both controllable and observable. For analysis, by using the shifted Legendre polynomials expansion, the solution of a nonlinear state equation is reduced to the solution of a linear algebraic matrix equation. For identification, through the shifted Legendre expansions of the measured input/output data, the unknown parameters of both the linear delayed plant and the characterisation of the nonlinear element are estimated by using the least-squares method. Algorithms are presented. Numerical examples are given to illustrate the use of this approach.

摘要:
A reduced-order implicit adaptive observer for a single-input single-output time-invariantnth-order linear system is considered. A state vector described in observable canonical form is explicitly parameterised in terms of the unknown system parameters and the filtered input and output vectors. For parameter estimation, a least-square-type adaptation scheme that can afford an arbitrarily fast exponential convergence is proposed.

摘要:
The Routh-stability method is employed to reduce the order of discrete-time system transfer functions. It is shown that the Routh approximant is well suited to reduce both the denominator and the numerator polynomials, although alternative methods, such as Padé-Markov approximation, are also used to fit the model numerator coefficients.
