摘要:
Indoor air quality control can be obtained by supplying outdoor airflow rates varying in dependence on measured or presumed contaminant concentrations. So outdoor airflow rates actually supplied to the ambient may be reduced with respect to design maximum values, with consequent consumption decrease. In the present paper some outdoor airflow rate control systems in HVAC plants are analysed.

摘要:
The effect of thermal energy storage on deep bed grain drying is studied. The rate of evaporation of moisture and humidity of drying air are analysed with time of the day for different depths of bed, heat capacity of storage material and flow rate. The effect of thermal storage is also studied on the fluid temperature, grain temperature and on the overall performance of the system. A parametric study has been done for a typical day of the month of June for climatic conditions in Delhi. It has been observed that the bed moisture content decreases with time of day unlike the humidity of the drying air and grain temperature also decreases with heat capacity.

摘要:
Econometric demand models which are used in developed countries consider only price and national income. The modified model developed earlier by the authors links energy consumption with the economy, technology and the environment. The modified model is validated by comparing with an econometric and time series regression model based on least squared error, square of correlation coefficient and Durbin Watson statistic (DW). It is found that in all cases the Modified Model gives the best results.

摘要:
This paper discusses the transient performance of a tubular solar collector under different operating conditions. The different components, such as the cover, receiver envelope and receiver and fluid inside the cylindrical tube are considered as a separate node. The energy balance equations for each node are solved by using the finite difference technique. It is found that a tubular collector with a cusp reflector is better in performance than the evacuated tubular collector lone. The rise in the temperature and efficiency of the collector is a sensitive function of mass flow rate, length of the tube, gap between receiver and receiver envelope, optical and thermal properties of the cover, receiver envelope and receiver. For efficient use of solar energy, the length and gap between the receiver and receiver envelope are to be fixed at their optimum values (~ 1.0–1.5m and ~ 10 mm) and the flow rate kept as small as possible (~ 0.0001 kg/s).

摘要:
A numerical and experimental study of the condensation induced by the variation in the ambient temperature on a loading platform (of GEFCO, France) is presented. A theoretical model was developed in order to analyse the influence of different parameters, such as: the thermal characteristics of the work place, the air temperature, the relative humidity, the frequent opening of the doors in the building, the wind velocity and the effect of solar radiation, on the condensation. The experiments were performed using thermocouples and infrared thermography methods in order to validate the theoretical model. It was shown that by adopting a proper means for sufficient heat transfer from the ground to its surrounding, the condensation phenomenon can be suppressed or controlled.
