摘要:
A computer simulation of a solar air-conditioning system of the open-cycle. liquid-desiccant type under different climatic conditions is presented. The system makes use of a sprayed coil dehumidifier and regenerating collectors and operates with triethylene glycol as desiccant. Mathematical models of the regenerating collector and dehumidifier were developed, based on correlations obtained from earlier experiments. The computer simulation subprograms for the various system components, as well as the complete system simulation program, were validated by tests of an experimental system with 52 m2of collectors.

摘要:
Economic and political forces are promoting the introduction of the relatively complex heat pump into the domestic market. The installation traditions of this relatively low technology market and the need to retrofit many systems means that careful attention to controls is essential to ensure reliable and economical operation. This paper considers heat pump control systems for the domestic market. Fortunately most of the controls technology is already available and only requires some tailoring and repackaging to suit the domestic heat pump application.

摘要:
This paper is aimed at indicating the wind power potential in Pakistan. The mean wind speed data for 17 locations has been obtained from meteorological measurements over a period of 30 years. Rayleigh distribution has been employed to predict the wind power potential. It has been found that the southern and south-western parts of the country has exploitable wind power potential.
