摘要:
In this paper we investigate a discrete-time servomechanism design for a parabolic distributed-parameter system with constant disturbances. The problem is to design a discrete-time feedback controller such that the resulting continuous-time closed-loop system will be stable and the discrete-time controlled output will converge to the constant reference vector. We construct a servomechanism using the concepts of state feedback and output feedback through an observer. The design procedure is basically a modal approach which is realized in finite-dimensional theories and algorithms. Explicit sufficient conditions are given for the existence of a finite-dimensional servomechanism.

摘要:
Gain measures of controllability and observability are introduced. These measures characterize control and observation weaknesses of systems in terms of the relations which describe them. A unifying framework is developed, and several controllability and observability measures are described which are computable in closed form in the case of finite-dimensional linear differential systems. Properties of gain measures are discussed, and comparisons arc made with the results of previous investigations.

摘要:
An adaptive law for multi-input multi-output discrete polynomic non-linear systems, which can be used for both control and identification is investigated by using the Lyapunov method. It has a simple structure and a convenient form for computation. For control problems, serial-type and parallel-type model-reference adaptive schemes are proposed and a criterion for the selection of the types is given. For identification problems, two conditions for identifiability with respect to input and output data and known constant matrices of the system are derived. To show the effectiveness of this method, a model-reference adaptive scheme for Volterra's prey-predator system is constructed. Digital simulation of the scheme confirms that this method is useful for both control and identification of discrete and continuous systems.

摘要:
This paper deals with the reachability and controllability of periodic discrete-time systems. First, we supply two necessary and sufficient complete reachability conditions, which apply to reversible and non-reversible systems, respectively. Then, a necessary and sufficient complete controllability condition is provided. This condition, as well as the complete reachability criteria, is given in terms of the reachability gramian matrix. Equivalent modal criteria for reachability and controllability are established in the second part of the paper.

摘要:
This paper extends the results of an earlier work to provide an iterative algorithm for pole placement in large-scale systems. The novel feature of the algorithm is that it provides a way of constructing the state feedback gain matrix through a series of simple decomposition steps followed by operations on submatrices.

摘要:
Akaike's AIC test for the determination of model order is related to the confidence limits on the estimated parameters. From this relationship it can be seen that a modified version of Akaike's test, as proposed by Bhansali and Downham, can be used to decrease the chance bf overestimating the model order from about 28% to less than 0006% without much loss of information about the system. Therefore the test proposed by Bhansali and Downham appears to be more useful for estimating model orders for control system design purposes, since many design methods are sensitive to overestimation of model order or to inaccuracies in parameter values.

摘要:
This paper discusses the stabilization of a class of linear infinite-dimensional systems, described by distributional convolution equations with bounded support. In particular this includes time-delay systems containing several time-varying delays in the state and the input. The system is stabilized using a linear time-invariant memoryless feedback law, and closed-loop stability is proved by means of a classical quadratic Liapunov functional. Sufficient conditions for stabilizability and design algorithms for a stabilizing feedback amplifier matrix are derived.

摘要:
In this paper we study multivariate tracking systems considering sensor dynamics. Firstly, we discuss the relation between internal models and sensor dynamics in tracking systems in order to obtain some insight into servo system synthesis. Secondly, we clarify a condition on plant and sensor under which robust control can be achieved. Finally, we propose a synthesis procedure for tracking systems with a compensation scheme for sensor dynamics, and give a numerical example.

摘要:
An identification problem is discussed for the boundary conditions of a deterministic distributed-parameter system governed by a partial differential equation of parabolic type. A method based on the fundamental ideas of the boundary element method is proposed for identification of unknown boundary conditions. The identification problem is formulated by using the ideas of boundary partition and weighted residual expression corresponding to the given partial differential equation. The boundary conditions are estimated by the method of least squares using the state observations taken at the interior points. A numerical example illustrates the applicability of the proposed method for boundary identification.
