摘要:
In this paper, we consider the problem of finding minimal realizations of multivariable linear stable discrete-time systems which interpolate the given first- and second-order information. We present the condition for the existence of a solution to this interpolation problem, the discriminant of its uniqueness and a parametrization of the class of all the solutions. The results may be applied to the design of digital filters, model reduction preserving stability, and the ARMA modelling of multivariable systems.

摘要:
Owing to the types of non-linearities involved, the analysis and the comparison of different anti-windup compensators that are available in the literature become difficult. Towards achieving a better understanding of the mechanisms of these anti-windup compensators, we here expose the observer property inherent in a class of anti-windup compensators. This observer property allows us to unify these anti-windup compensators as special cases of the generalized anti-windup compensator due to Åström and Wittenmark (1984), and provides a general framework to investigate their performance.

摘要:
Control systems can drift into instability or, less catastrophically, exhibit resonance behaviour. One role for adaptive controllers is to learn sufficient information concerning the dominant closed-loop system mode so as to apply effective feedback to dampen these modes. In such situations the adaptive loop augments the fixed controller feedback loop. This paper presents an algorithm for adaptive resonance suppression and provides simulation results to study its behaviour in the presence of high-order unmodelled dynamics. The algorithm appears particularly useful for enhancing existing fixed controller designs.

摘要:
The strong consistency of the predictive least squares (PLS) structure selection criterion is proved forARMAprocesses. The advantage of the PLS criterion defined by Rissanen and Wertz (1985) over the BIC, φ or AIC criteria is that it is an online information criterion obtained by simple calculation. The strong consistency is proved for the case of the maximum likelihood estimator, while in simulations the likelihood estimator is substituted by its recursive maximum likelihood estimator approximation. Repeated simulations show the small sample comparison of the PLS and BIC criteria.

摘要:
The problem of robust stability and performance in feedback control systems with n real (possibly repeated) uncertain parameters and structured unmodelled dynamics, the latter taking the form ofmcomplex blocks dynamic uncertainties is considered. A robustness marginrmis defined with respect to such model uncertainty structure and an algorithm is developed to compute it. Robust stability and performance is characterized in terms ofrmin much the same way as with the Multivariate Stability Marginkmor the Structured Singular value μ. An iterative procedure employing the above algorithm is given to compute tight bounds onkmand μ. These bounds are exact for the case m ≤ 3.
