摘要:
A new identification method is proposed for estimating the parameters of a discrete-time linear dynamic system excited by non-gaussian inputs usingkth order (k> 2) cumulants of input and output signals contaminated by additive (possibly coloured) gaussian noise. The parameter estimates obtained by this method are proved to be consistent under weak conditions. This method has an on-line algorithm for computing the parameter estimates, just like the least-squares method. A simulation example is included to demonstrate the effectiveness of this method.

摘要:
The problem of estimating the transfer function (frequency response) of a linear process by means of a modified spectral analysis method is treated. A method of determining the maximum time lags of the correlation functions which makes use of the availablea prioriphysical knowledge about the process and the input signal is proposed. This leads, in a natural way, to the use of anasymmetricalwindow technique. Some simulation results are used to illustrate the method. Based on the asymptotic properties of the estimate, the input design is studied. Finally it will be shown that this work can be used for the estimation of an upper bound of the model uncertainty in the frequency domain.

摘要:
Horowitz and Wang (1979) have proposed a quantitative synthesis technique for plant modifying SISO feedback design. In essence, inner loops are designed to reduce ‘ ⃛feedback loop bandwidths and effect of sensor noise, at the cost of increase in plant internal signal levels.’ The major effort of this design goes into achieving ‘ ⃛desired trade-off between increased plant signal level and cost of feedback.’ In this paper it is shown that by a very simple use of available feedforward ‘degrees of freedom’, the above trade-off problem diminishes significantly for practically important classes of systems and the overall design simplifies considerably.

摘要:
A method of determining the gramians of a stable time-invariant linear system based on the expansion of the input-state and state-output impulse responses of the system is given. The procedure presented is shown to be computationally more efficient than previous methods when working with symbols or exact rational numbers.

Wuet al. (1990) presented a sufficient condition for the simultaneous stabilizability of single-input systems. Their condition is shown in this note by a counterexample to be incorrect. The flaw leading to this error is pointed out and the remedy for their error is provided.
