摘要:
A class of nonlinear ordinary differential equations describing the oscillatory behaviour of vehicles and meteorites entering planetary atmospheres is named as ‘Chini—Painlevé's equation’ in this paper. A series solution which may be termed as ‘Painlevé's fifth transcendental series’ is given and the stability of solutions is also determined.

摘要:
A second-order system has been taken for the synthesis of time-optimal control. Important elements in the closed-loop system are the relay element, the controlled element and the controlling device performing time-optimal control. An equation for the switching boundary has been obtained by the phase-space technique and verified by a state-variable approach. The realized time-optimal system is found to give better response than any other non-optimal system.

摘要:
The feedback control of a class of linear systems disturbed by additive white noise is considered. A linear control law is used to minimize a non-quadratic integral performance criterion. The stochastic problem is transformed to a deterministic problem, and a solution is developed using the calculus of variations.

The method of averaging is compared to Grobner's method of integral equations as applied to a weakly non-linear periodic system of differential equations. The first and second approximation to the solutions of the differential equations via both techniques are shown to be equivalent.

摘要:
For linear multivariable systems, which have square transfer function matrices, the necessary and sufficient conditions for the existence of state feedback laws for triangular decoupling are shown to be equivalent to the conditions of invertibility. A procedure of finding a state feedback law for this purpose is also given.
