摘要:
The output-feedback stabilization is considered by linear dynamic controllers of (open-loop) stabilizable and detectable time-invariant plants involving a finite set of bounded internal point delays. Two controllers involving, respectively, point and distributed delays are studied as well as their extension to the use of a feedback signal consisting of convolutions of the system output and controller state with an appropriately chosen linearly independent set of functions. It is concluded that an increase in the order of the controller dynamics can be used as an alternative stabilization technique to the use of delays in the controller.

摘要:
In linear control system design, it is often assumed that control is unbounded. However, due to practical constraints, actuator saturation often occurs. To compensate for the actuator saturation, heuristic techniques are developed and can be found in the literature. In this paper, the optimal compensation for a class of sub-optimal control laws such as the minimum variance, generalized minimum variance,k-incremental, integrating and generalized predictive control is derived. Comparisons with non-optimal schemes such as those derived heuristically are made. It is shown that the optimal compensation scheme also yields the lowest accumulated sum of the cost function under certain conditions, although the result does not generally hold, as illustrated by a numerical example.

摘要:
Considered in this paper is the problem of maximization of tolerable disturbances in the presence of hard time-domain constraints on system states and the input for a class of linear time-invariant single-input single-output uncertain systems. In particular, a methodology proposed by the authors is extended to include non-minimum phase and/or unstable systems. An inner-outer factorization separates a nominal minimum phase transfer function from the uncertain plant set thus facilitating the generation of the required frequency domain design region. In dealing with unstable systems, an intermediate prestabilization step may become necessary.

摘要:
In this paper, a simple criterion is proposed for the global stabilizability of a class of nonlinear singularly perturbed systems. Our approach is based on the global nonlinear controller canonical transformation and the integral manifold method. A globally stabilizing feedback control is also proposed such that the pre-specified design manifold becomes an exact slow integral manifold and the trajectories of the closed-loop system, starting from any initial states, are steered along the integral manifold to the origin.
