摘要:
In this paper, we present the canonical forms of decouplable and controllable linear systems. Some of the non-zero elements in Gilbert's canonically decoupled structure, which remain undetermined, are explicitly determined by a complete set of invariances. Our result constitutes the key step to characterization of the whole class of nonlinear systems that are feedback—equivalent to decouplable and controllable linear systems.

This paper deals with the solution of the discrete-time LQ stochastic tracking and servo problems for a general system configuration. It is shown that the resultant solution is in the form of a three-degree-of-freedom controller when the vector of the exogeneous signal is extended to include accessible disturbances. In particular, it is shown that a separation property between feedback, reference and accessible disturbance feedforward actions, proved for a two-degree-of-freedom optimal LQ stochastic control scheme, also holds true for the general system configuration here addressed. Further, this separation property can be suitably extended, when a linear control law is assumed, to the minimax LQ stochastic tracking and servo problems.

A number of relationships between some indicators of interaction in multivariable systems is presented, with particular reference to two-input two-output systems. It is shown that for real 2×2 matrices, the regions of the gain space identified using the generalized diagonal dominant (g.d.d.) and Ostrowski criteria are identical. It is further shown that almost all 2×2 matrices either are g.d.d., or can be rendered g.d.d. by a row or a column exchange. A critical quantity in developing the above relationships is themultivariable structure index, as used in ‘relative gain array’ analysis and, more recently, in the ‘individual channel analysis’ method. Finally it is shown that knowledge of the eigenstructure of a complex n × n matrix allows a new version of Gershgorin's theorem to be stated using circles of smaller radii if the misalignment angles are less than 45°.

摘要:
In this paper, a method of pole assignment in H∞control theory is proposed. By this method, all the poles can be placed in a left half-plane or inside a disc on the complex plane and at the same time an H∞norm constraint is satisfied. This result can be derived by a bilinear transformation of the complex variable of a transfer function in H∞control theory.

摘要:
Grimble and Fairbairn's recently published results on H∞robust self-tuning control are discussed. It is pointed out that further explanation about the system model is needed, and the identified system model should be revised. Grimble (1987 a, b) and Fairbairn and Grimble (1990) give a new approach to designing self-tuning controllers for SISO discrete-time stochastic systems. There are some points that call for further discussion.
