摘要:
Linear time-invariant, finite-dimensional discrete time systems are very often specified in a polynomial form representation in either a forward or backward shift operator (sometimes called MFD and ARMA form). In this paper it is shown that there exists a unifying theory for the determination of McMillan degree and Kronecker observability indices of systems represented by polynomial matrices in the two shift operators, considering the MFD and ARMA forms as special cases. Treating dynamical systems in terms of their behaviour, i.e. the set of admissible signal trajectories, the notions of McMillan degree and observability indices can be generalized to non-controllable as well as to non-causal systems.

摘要:
In this paper the robustness of discrete time LQG problems is studied. The system to be controlled is described by the usual state space formulation but includes the structure of plant parameter perturbations and noise uncertainty. A simple and direct way is given to derive a saddle point inequality of the closed-loop system performance to cope with noise uncertainty and one sufficient condition for system stability robustness under plant perturbation is presented.

摘要:
The objective of this paper is to present a new adaptive law motivated by the work of Narendraet al. (1980) for the robust adaptive control of plants with unmodelled high frequency dynamics. In the regulation case the adaptive system has bounded solutions. Stable performance is still guaranteed when the effect of high frequency parasitics is considered. Simulation results are presented throughout the paper to complement the theoretical developments. It has been shown that the adaptive gain, the initial conditions, the mode-separation ratio and the magnitude and periodicity of the reference input sequence are important factors in the design of stable adaptive control schemes.

摘要:
The predictive control by inversion (PCI) technique is presented in this paper. This technique permits extending, in a simple way, the predictive control principles to non-linear models without any linearizing transformation. Singularities and non-minimum phase phenomena which can arise from inversion are treated by introducing control discontinuities either directly on the control or some of its derivatives, or indirectly through reference trajectory discontinuities. Performance and robustness properties of the technique are illustrated by several simulation results.
