摘要:
The paper describes a method for the design of a constant cascade controller to assign some zeros and numerator coefficients of the (open or closed-loop) transfer function matrix of a linear multivariable system. The cascade controller does not affect the poles of the system which can be positioned prior to the zero assignment. The requirements on the transfer function matrix for arbitrary assignment of some zeros and numerator coefficients are discussed. The cascade controller is calculated from sets of simple linear equations and thus the method is computationally very efficient. An interactive computer programme is described for the computer-aided design of cascade controllers. Finally, two simple numerical examples of zero assignment in open-loop and closed-loop systems are worked out in detail to illustrate the method.

摘要:
The paper discusses the application of cyclicity in the design of linear multivariable feedback systems and establishes a simple criterion for cyclicity of a system. Preliminary results from linear algebra on cyclic subspaces are presented first. It is then shown that cyclicity plays a fundamental role in the design of state and output feedback controllers for linear multivariable systems. A necessary and sufficient condition for cyclicity of a system is shown to be that the rational matrix ϕ(s)=(sI–A)-1 is irreducible, whereAis the system matrix. Furthermore, a sufficient condition is that the eigenvalues ofAare distinct. Using these conditions, a simple and computationally efficient test for cyclicity is described and is illustrated by a numerical example.

摘要:
A time-optimal control is given for a second-order system with restricted phase variables. The phase variables are assumed to obey a certain class of constraints given in the paper. The maximum principle cannot be applied with ease in problems with phase variable constraints, because of the so-called jump conditions. A new approach is taken to solve this problem, and its utilization is illustrated by various examples.

摘要:
In the paper the random-seeking counterparts of the stochastic approximation procedures are treated. Sufficient conditions for the convergence with probability I of the analogues of Kiefer-Wolfowitz'a and Kabian'a algorithms are presented and discussed. These conditions are obtained by applying a unified and general approach (also presented in the paper) to proving the convergence of minimization algorithms defined by stochastic difference equations. Some advantages of random-seeking methods are described.
