摘要:
The refined elliptic-function method previously developed (Soudack and Barkham 1970) is applied to the unforced Duffing equation with large damping. The theoretical development for this case, and an example, are presented. The Kryloff-Bogoliuboff solution is shown for comparison with the present result.

摘要:
This paper is devoted to the design of digital compensators for a special class of fnite-settling-time, linear, sampled-data control systems which are required to track both step and ramp inputs with no steady-state error. A general procedure is given to design the digital compensator so that the system is optimum on the basis of the ITAE (integral of time-weighted absolute value of error) criterion, subject to the constraint that the peak overshoot of the system for a step input is less than a certain percentage. Linear programming is used to find the optimum solution. Suitable upper bounds are imposed on the variables involved so that the peak overshoot of the system for a unit step input may not exceed a given value. A method of incorporating a specification on the acceleration constant (Ka) in the design is given, as also is a design example. For the case where finite settling time to a ramp input is not required, the design procedure is modified: a velocity constant (Kaspecification is incorporated in the design in place of theKaspecification.

摘要:
A simple electrical system capable of evaluating the contour integrals involved in the transformations between Laplace (frequency) and time domains as developed by the authors is described in this paper. Given the frequency response data of a fixed-parameter linear system, its transient response can be evaluated using this integral analyser. In addition to being useful in such domain transformations this instrument can also be used for Fourier coefficient analysis of periodic functions.

摘要:
The effect of parameter variation on the periodic oscillations in a non-linear control system is discussed analytically and the concept of root-locus has been introduced to analyse the different dominating modes of oscillation. The theoretical formulation is based on the fact that the transient behaviour of a non-linear system, in the vicinity of the steady-state oscillation, is described by a linear differential equation with periodic coefficients.
