摘要:
The paper reviews introduction and applications of the so-called Delta Method of investigating phase-space trajectories and further indicates new possibilities occurred recently in applying an inversion of this method to problems of Synthesis, Control and Identification.

摘要:
Obviously enough, a differential game as an extension of a control system, as well as many other systems of dynamics, may be synthesized. In case of qualitative games this may lead to certain classes of differential systems of the game or certain classes of strategies, implying a prescribed outcome in the form of a prescribed qualitative property of the game path. The synthesis procedure may serve as a tool for solving games, as well as the game-methods may help in the synthesis; the proper relation, however, has to be defined.

摘要:
Pseudo-random binary sequences are shown to be perfectly analogous to cyclic difference sets and this is used to develop a programme to identify all such sequences. Residue, recursive and Hadamard sequences are shown to be describable by the properties of the respective difference set and a classification system is proposed.

摘要:
An improved frequency-do main criterion has been derived for the asymptotic stability in the large (ASIL) of an autonomous system containing a single non-linearity. The non-linearity is assumed to belong to a new class of non-monotone functions having properties intermediate to monotone increasing functions and the functions considered in the Popov criterion. The stability criterion derived requires thatZ(s)G(s)be positive real, whereZ(s)is a restricted R-L driving point impedance andG(a)is the transfer function of the linear part of the system. It is further shown that stability can be established in certain cases even when the polar plot of the linear part transfer function lies in all the four quadrants and the non-linearity is neither monotone nor odd.

摘要:
Sufficient conditions for optimality of a class of linear discrete time processes are presented. In distinction to previously obtained necessary conditions for optimality, these sufficient conditions hold under very weak hypotheses. An example, which might arise in a sampled data system, is presented. For the example the sufficient conditions yield the optimal control, but the necessary conditions are not applicable since the required hypotheses are not satisfied.

摘要:
This paper is divided into two parts. The first part is concerned with the performance loss of the discrete-time Kalman filter designed on the basis of the model with errors in both dynamical and observation systems. The difference equation which describes the evolution of the covariance matrix of actual estimation error is derived. Some numerical results are shown as the illustration of the technique.

摘要:
This paper servos to define a function space representation of the concepts of passivity and positive reality. Linear time-varying differential systems are utilized as a vehicle for bringing these abstract concepts to a concrete form. Necessary conditions and sufficient conditions are then established in terms of the system parameters to ensure the aforementioned concepts. In the course of this study, earlier results of Silverman (1968) are extended to cover a larger class of time-varying systems.
