摘要:
The necessary conditions to be satisfied by the feedback control constructed by available variables, minimizing time-weighted quadratic performance indices for linear systems incorporating integral action, are developed using the parameter optimization technique. To remove the dependence of the solution on a reference input and an external disturbance, a performance index based on the statistical expectation and a minimax solution are considered. An algorithm based on a gradient technique is given to solve the necessary conditions of the minimax solution. Numerical examples are given to illustrate the effect of a time-weighted performance index on the transient response of the output, and they show that the integral-square-time-square error performance index is acceptable for a reference input.

摘要:
Stabilization of delayed linear systems by state-variable feedback is studied in this paper. The assignability of the decaying rate of these systems is also considered. The conditions obtained are applicable to systems with time-varying delays without any restriction. The basis of these conditions is a criterion for delay-independent stability of linear system previously obtained. It is shown that in some cases a system is delay-independent stabilizable although a decaying rate is not assignable for this system.

摘要:
In this paper an algebraic method is presented whereby one can obtain the relevant values of the gain,K, of a multivariable (multi-input-multi-output) feedback system to be stable or relatively stable. The basis of the method involves the algebraic solution of the two equations obtained from the real and imaginary parts of the characteristic equation of the system. The proposed method offers an alternative procedure for determining stability (relative stability) to the graphical methods based on the ‘ generalized Nyquist criterion ’ and the ‘ multivariable root locus method ’. This method is analogous to the analytical form of the root locus combined with the Routh-Hurwitz criterion, as compared to the Nyquist or graphical root locus methods when applied to single-input-single-output feedback systems. Several examples are presented illustrating the applications of the method and compared with the graphical methods.

摘要:
This paper presents a new method for designing a model reference adaptive control system for single-input single-output discrete bilinear systems. The adaptive algorithms proposed in this paper guarantee the asymptotic stability of the error between the plant output and the reference sequence using no anticipative value of the plant output and unknown plant parameters. The validity of the theoretical result is illustrated by numerical examples.

摘要:
A criterion of approximation is derived for replacing a plant transfer function which is either non-rational or is rational but large or is not accurately known, by a convenient rational approximant for the purposes of designing a control system. The criterion provides simple sufficient conditions on the accuracy of approximation to ensure that designs carried out with the approximant are valid.

摘要:
The paper considers the analysis of linear systems incorporating observers via block-pulse functions, and presents recursive algorithms convenient for computers. Compared with Walsh function approaches, the results are much simpler in form. An example is given to illustrate the use of the method.

摘要:
Approximating the transfer-function matrix of a multivariable system by a normal matrix provides a reliable way for assessing the stability of feedback systems in the presence of uncertainty or non-linearities. The appropriate stability results, however, must take into account the error in the approximation, and if this is large the stability assessment becomes conservative. The present paper proposes techniques for obtaining improved normal approximations and presents results which, for the 2 × 2 case, minimize the error of approximation. The approach is amenable to a numerically robust implementation on a digital computer and has obvious application in the analysis of feedback stability.

摘要:
A continuous feedback controller is developed for a class of non-linear, time-varying, uncertain systems governed by functional differential equations with retarded arguments. The form of the controller guarantees that under certain assumptions all solutions are uniformly bounded in norm for timetsufficiently largo in spite of the uncertainty in system parameters and input signals. Furthermore, given any ϵ > 0, the parameters in the description of the controller can be chosen such that the closed-loop solutions all satisfy ||x(t)|| ≤ ϵ for larget.

摘要:
A new approach to the design of an optimal controller for a system described by its transfer function (SISO case) is presented. The stochastic or deterministic disturbances as well as the noise contaminating measured output are described by the spectral density. The objective is the minimization of a linear combination of quadratic measures of system input and output on an infinite time range. The basic idea is the determination of a new optimization domain inside which asymptotic stability of the system, considering its closed-loop structure, is guaranteed. The solution uses polynomial algebraic techniques and requires only the solution of the system of two polynomial equations, the coefficients of which are obtained from spectral factorization. The system may be unstable and/or non-minimal phase and possible measurement noise may be coloured.

摘要:
Consistency condi ⃛ions are given for the estimates of AR-parameters of multivariate ARMA models, obtained by using generalized Yule-Walker equations. The related problem of selecting the model orders by testing the rank of the output covariance matrix is also discussed.
