摘要:
The robustness properties of multivariable perfect model-matching systems are presented. In order to stabilize the nominal system, a general parametrized 2-D controller is introduced. A necessary and sufficient condition of robust stabilization is derived for the perfect model-matching system under external disturbances and non-linear time-varying perturbations. The results presented could be viewed as the extension of the work by Åström (1980).

A variation-free method for global optimal control is proposed. The method is based on a global parameter optimization algorithm and does not employ variational principles or variation-based techniques.

摘要:
The problem is studied of testing for stability a class of real polynomials in which the coefficients depend on a number of variable parameters in a multilinear way. We show that the testing for real unstable roots can be achieved by examining the stability of a finite number of corner polynomials (obtained by setting parameters at their extreme values), while checking for unstable complex roots normally involves examining the real solutions of up to m + 1 simultaneous polynomial equations, where m is the number of parameters. When m = 2, this is an especially simple task.

摘要:
A necessary and a sufficient condition for achieving diagonal dominance in a multivariate system using a proportional—integral/proportional-integral-derivative (PI/PID) controller structure are presented. An algorithm to find a possible multivariable PI/PID controller that makes the system diagonal dominant is also proposed. Two numerical examples designed interactively by computer are included to illustrate the effectiveness of this procedure.

摘要:
A method for determining the Smith-McMillan form at infinity of a rational matrix is derived by considering the Laurent expansion at infinity of the matrix. This method is used to provide a new test for the absence of infinite zeros in a rational matrix and a new formula for calculating the highest degree among the largest minors of a polynomial matrix.

摘要:
The receding horizon tracking control for discrete time-invariant systems is presented. This control law is derived by using the receding horizon concept from the standard tracking problems. The stability property of this control law is analysed and it is shown that there exists a finite cost horizon over which the closed-loop systems are always asymptotically stable. It is pointed out that the receding horizon tracking control can be considered as a general class of predictive controls and thus the given stability property can be utilized for some existing predictive controls which have little-known stability results. It is also shown that the receding horizon tracking control with integral action provides the zero offset for a constant command input. Its performance is compared with other existing predictive controls via simulation studies.

摘要:
The concept of essential orders has recently been introduced into linear system theory and has been shown to be useful in the solution of static and dynamic decoupling problems (Commauitet al.1986, De Lucaet al.1985). This paper presents a non-trivial extension to the class of non-linear affine systems of some of these definitions and results. It is shown that these invariant integers give the minimal order for a regular dynamic compensator that decouples a right-invertible system.

摘要:
A procedure for designing and analysing robust adaptive one-step-ahead minimum prediction error control schemes for discrete-time multivariable plants is given. A general robust adaptive law (GRAL) is developed for adjusting the controller parameters so that the closed-loop plant is globally stable despite the presence of modelling errors, and the tracking error is of the order of the modelling error in the mean. Modified adaptive laws which employ the dead-zone, the σ−, the ϵ1− or the switching σ-modification proposed in the single-input, single-output continuous-time case are extended to the multivariable discrete-time case and shown to be special cases of the GRAL. As in the continuous-time case, we show that the convergence and the tracking performance of these globally stable adaptive control schemes can be considerably improved if the reference signal is chosen to be dominantly rich. Dominantly rich signals maintain a high level of persistence of excitation relative to the level of the modelling error. This guarantees exponential convergence and bounds for the tracking and parameter error, in the steady state that are of the order of the modelling error.

摘要:
We consider the problem of approximating a multidimensional stationary processy(t) of McMillan degreenwith another stationary processyk(t) of McMillan degreek<nminimizing theL2- norm of the difference in the predictions fory(t) andyk(t). We prove that one solution to this problem can be obtained by using the optimal Hankel approximant of the ‘phase’ function ofyk(t),t∈Z.
