摘要:
This paper is concerned with a linear predictor control for multivariable systems with general delays in inputs and outputs subject to unmeasurable disturbances. The previous results given by Watanabe and Sato (1984) are extended to the general delay case involving distributed delays. A predictor control scheme which can yield a zero steady-state error with desired transient responses is proposed.

摘要:
This paper considers the transformation of the digital optimal control problem to an equivalent discrete-time optimal control problem for linear continuous-time systems with continuous-time white stochastic parameters and additive continuous-time white noise. The observations available at the sampling instants are in general non-linear and corrupted by discrete-time noise. The equivalent discrete-time system has white stochastic parameters. Expressions are derived for the first and second moments of these parameters and for the cost criterion parameters which are explicit in the parameters and the statistics of the continuous-time system.

Singular value decomposition is applied to assess the influence of finite-accuracy data antt finite-resolution computing equipment on results of least-squares (LS) dynamic system identification. Singular value decomposition analysis also suggests new, more practical definitions of irientif lability and persistent excitation.

摘要:
Two theorems on the convergence of least-squares dynamic system identification with finite-accuracy data are presented. The first theorem is a reformulation of a well-known convergence theorem due to Ljung. The second theorem gives necessary and sufficient conditions for parameter convergence with probability 1 in terms of the result of error variance minimization.

摘要:
This paper presents a new technique for designing the variable structure load-frequency controller for a single-area power system. The variable-structure controller effectively enhances the dynamic performance of the integral controller which ia usually designed with the primary aim of zero steady-state error. Further, when the variable-structure system is operated in the so-called sliding mode, the response of the system becomes insensitive to changes in the plant parameters. The control problem is formulated and the results of a simulation study are presented for illustration.

摘要:
A recursive technique to estimate the parameters of a general class of Box-Jenkins transfer function models is presented. This class of models allows multiple inputs, general ARMA noise and time-varying parameters. Both the system and noise parameters are simultaneously estimated, even when their dynamic structures are different. The recursive equations for parameter estimation are derived in closed form by using the extended Kalman filter technique. Convergence analysis is 1 performed Using Ljung's theory. Simulation results indicate that, with reasonable initial conditions, the estimates compare favourably with the common non-recursive least-square estimates. Accuracy and convergence rate are improved if the parameter update is delayed and if estimation of the noise variance is based on the most recent data rather than the whole past history. The method is readily applicable for on-line situations.

摘要:
In this paper we present a review of the development of the discrete maximum principle. In the presentation, the emphasis is on a geometrical interpretation. The crucial assumptions in the theory developed are pointed out, and the attempts to overcome the limitation in the resulting theorems ore exposed. Following the review, we present a new approach to optimization of the multi-stage optimization problems called the ’ upper boundary approach ’. The classical methods of solving this problem are shown to fit smoothly into the new approach. Moreover, using this approach a number of new results have been developed, among these a new generalized version of the discrete maximum principle. The new version does not require the assumption of directional convexity.

摘要:
In this paper an averaging method is treated for perturbed purely non-linear dynamical systems close to an integrated hamiltonian system, where in addition the perturbation terms include small periodically forcing terms. The two cases—resonance and no resonance-—are examined, and in the cose of resonance the averaged equations that we have formulated, enable ue also to find the stationary resonance states and to study their stability.

摘要:
This paper presents a recursive algorithm using orthogonal block-pulse functions to identify the parameters of a system described by a linear differential equation with coefficients of finite-order polynomials in time t. The key point is the derivation of a set of operational matrices Pij(i = 0, 1, 2, … ; j=0, 1, 2, …) that relate the (th integral of the time-multiplicated block-pulse vector tiφ(t) to the block-pulse vector φ(t) itself. By using this elegant set of operational matrices the original time-varying differential input-output model is converted to a set of linear algebraic equations which can be solved recursively by a least-squares method to give unknown parameters and initial conditions. Two examples are included, one to illustrate the superiority of Pijover Fj(Wang 1982) in the solution of a time-varying differential equation and the other to show the effectiveness of the identification method.
