摘要:
Controllability theory for linear constant systems with sampled control is unified in a simple formulation of necessary, sufficient, and necessary and sufficient conditions using primarily Sylvester' s double sided inequality. Examples illustrate the results of a general development in which System eigenvalues are not necessarily Jordan linked, and demonstrate system controllability when the number of control steps is less than the degree of the minimal polynomial

摘要:
In this paper we present a technique of obtaining the optimal feedback gains for multivariabe linear systems incorporating integral action. Unlike the methods proposed up to now, a performance index in this paper is the practical quadratic one which does not penalize either the integration of output error or the time derivative of control, therefore giving a reasonable solution. The necessary condition for the solution is given by the non-linear simultaneous matrix equations which can be solved by a gradient technique. Also we suggest a minimax solution which minimizes the worst case in order to get practical feedback gains.

摘要:
This survey paper presents a comprehensive review of work in the field of non-linear oscillations. A brief discussion of second-order systems is followed by a presentation of exact criteria, approximate analytical methods and computational techniques for limit cycles in single variable systems. Multivariate systems are then covered from an analogous viewpoint which allows the reader to clearly identify both how single variable methods have been extended and the possibilities for further research. Particular emphasis is placed on describing function methods since it is believed that, where exact solutions are not possible, the approach may not only give approximate solutions but provides good insight for further computational or simulation studies. The coverage is essentially restricted to continuous lumped parameter systems and includes both free and forced oscillations. Several applications of the theories in various fields of engineering and science are discussed and indicate the broad interest in non-linear oscillatory phenomena. Finally, a detailed bibliography on the subject is provided.

摘要:
This paper presents a new scheme for a discrete adaptive observer for single-input single-output linear plants. In this scheme, the observer is constructed in parametrized form, and the adaptive law for parameter adjustment is given by a set of recursive equations which are derived on the basis of an exponentially weighted least-squares method. The proposed adaptive observer converges rapidly and also is able to track time-varying plant parameters quickly. Hence, the technique, can be well used as an identifier for indirect adaptive control systems. Its effectiveness has been demonstrated by computer simulations carried out for a second-order plant.

摘要:
It is known that, in the case of self-conjugate distinct eigenvalue spectra, the closed-loop eigen-structure assignable by output feedback in constrained by the requirement that the loft and right eigenvectors be in certain subspaces. In this paper an algorithm is presented which can be used to select these left and right eigenvectors in the case in which the number of inputs plus the number of outputs exceeds the number of states. The algorithm is ideally suited to digital computer implementation and an ALGOL program for this is available.

摘要:
We consider the problem of estimating a random process defined along a one-dimensional track using measurements from a sensor which traverses this track. The effects of sensor motion and motion blur on the estimation problem are considered, and in the particular case of a linear model for the random process and deterministic sensor motion, these effects are analysed and discussed in detail. In this special case we also consider the problem of controlling the motion of the sensor in order to optimize some measure of the accuracy of our estimates along the track.

摘要:
Consider the linear control system whose state-space equations aredx/dl = Ax + Bu,y = Cx + Duwherex, uandyare, respectively, the state, input and output vectors, andA, B, C, Dare constant matrices. Problem : find constant scalarsrand constant vectorsv, wsuch that an input of the formvexp(rt)1(t)will yield a state of the formx = wexp(rt)and outputy≡ 0,t≥ 0. The method developed is this: the output equation is solved for x and the solution is substituted into the state equation. The resulting equation must satisfy a consistency condition involvingr, in order for a solution of the problem to exist. Matrix generalized inverses are employed both to derive consistency conditions and to obtain solutions. Several examples illustrate a variety of conditions.

摘要:
A known approach to the analysis of stochastic relay control systems involves replacing the relay by a correlation-transforming device. The accuracy of this technique is investigated in the present paper. Differential equations are obtained for system autocorrelation functions, and are solved either analytically or computationally. It is found that the approach gives less accurate results than Booton's statistical linearization procedure.

摘要:
A flexible technique is proposed for coordinated design of dynamic pre-compensation and dynamic output feedback for decoupling. It is based on the inverse plant transfer matrix, and makes advantageous use of its division into proper and improper parts.
