摘要:
The problem of forcing the output of a multivariate sampled-data system to zero in a minimum number of time steps is discussed. The solution to the posed problem is given as a linear state feedback. The zeros of the system are contained among the poles of the closed-loop system. The performance of the closed-loop system will be unsatisfactory if any of these zeros are located close to or outside the unit circle. In this case suboptimal dead-beat controllers are derived.

This report presents a survey of methods for the Distributed Parameter System Identification Problem. Fundamental concepts such as ‘ System Identification ’ and ‘ Distributed Parameter Systems ’ are briefly summarized in order to make precise what kind of problem will be considered here. The various identification methods are grouped into three disjoint classes, namely : ‘ Direct Method ’, ‘ Reduction to a Lumped Parameter System ’ and ‘ Reduction to an Algebraic Equation ’. Under this classification we give a general survey of the main approaches to the problem of identification in distributed systems

Since the observability for bilinear systems is affected by the input, this paper defines three kinds of observability for bilinear systems ; namely (1) observability with some input, (2) observability with any input, (3) observability with unknown input. 摘要:
The new approach of system identification through Liapunov functions is applied to stochastic systems. We demonstrate the possibility of constructing a consistent identification scheme to estimate the system parameters in the presence of noise, providing that the input is persistently exciting. A practical identification scheme is provided to obtain estimates with bounded estimation errors, where the bound can be made arbitrarily small.

Singular perturbation methods are used to establish the conditions under which complete state-feedback controllers can be designed so as to stabilize multivariable linear systems containing ‘ parasitic ’ elements, and the resulting design procedure is illustrated by designing a stabilizing feedback controller for a third-order system. This design procedure is shown to be more generally applicable than the procedures of Porter (1974) and of Suzuki and Miura (1976).

Singular perturbation methods are used to establish the conditions under which full-order observers can be designed so as to reconstruct the state vectors of multi-variable linear systems containing ‘ parasitic ’ elements, and the resulting design procedure is illustrated by designing a full-order observer for a third-order system. This procedure for the design of full-order observers is the dual of the procedure developed by Porter (1976) for the design of stabilizing state-feedback controllers for multivariable linear systems containing ‘ parasitic ’ elements.

摘要:
A method is presented for off-line calculation of optimal measurement subsets to be used during implementation of optimal feedback control for linear stochastic systems. It is seen that feedback control imposes a penalty on noisy measurements which must be included with measurement cost in the optimization. The combinatorial problem involved with subset selection is avoided by creating a non-linear ‘ optimal control ’ problem which can be solved using available algorithms. Results for a scalar example show that, with costly measurements, it is most economical to use a number of short measurement periods.

State feedback decoupling theory, as it stands now, is mathematically abstract, in that the system differential equations are manipulated to achieve a one-to-one relationship between the input controls and the output variables. Study of the decoupling problem, however, is greatly simplified by the properties associated with controllability and observability. A now approach towards the development of state feedback decoupling synthesis based on these concepts is presented in this paper. The tangible advantage of this approach i3 the simplification it gives to the systematic use of digital computer for the algebraic calculations, which makes the synthesis procedure very flexible with increase in the dimension of the system
