摘要:
This paper is concerned with the construction of the observer for estimating linear functions of the state of a linear system. The necessary and sufficient condition for constructing the observer is derived in a geometrical way and its design method is presented. The relation between the proposed method and Gopinath's procedure for the state observer is made explicit from the points of minimal realization or the aggregation.

摘要:
The aim of this paper is to develop a unified view of the nature of the recursive, Stochastic Approximation (SA) and Model Reference methods for estimating the parameters of a lumped model of a dynamic system, Thus it is shown how, by sequential minimization of an average prediction error, it is possible to construct recursive algorithms (Predict ion Error Recursions, I'KRs) for almost any lumped parametric model. For a general class of recursions (including I'ERs and SAs) an informal analysis of convergence is given by considering the first order moment behaviour of the recursion (viewed as a stochastic difference equation). This leads to equations given by Ljung. Continuing however yields a second order analysis that provides the asymptotic variance behaviour (Central Limit Theorem) of the algorithms.

摘要:
Gradient matrices are formulated for the linear multivariable system with output feedback. The incremental motion of the poles and zeros and the coefficients of the numerator and denominator transfer function polynomials is determined as a function of the elements of an output feedback gain matrix. Also considered is the incremental movement of zeros and the coefficients of the numerator transfer function polynomials with respect to the elements of an input gain matrix. In addition, the characteristic polynomial gradient results are used to study the bounds on the number of independently assignable poles for linear multivariable systems with constant output feedback. The investigation is extended to estimate the minimum order dynamic output feedback compensator necessary to establish full polo placement for the expanded order system. Examples are included to illustrate the methods involved and to make comparisons with previous results.

摘要:
A criterion is presented for establishing the) stability of a multi variable system from the stability of the system consisting of its diagonal elements. Also it is proved that the criterion of diagonal dominance, given by Rosenbrock, and the criterion based on the M-matrices, given by Araki and Nwokah, are special cases of this new criterion.

摘要:
Necessary and sufficient conditions arc determined for the stabilization of an /-input, m-output, time invariant, linear and minimal system while block decoupling it by state feedback and a constant non-singular input transformation. The fixed poles of the block decoupled system are related to a subset of the transmission zeros of tho uncompensated system nnd a method is presented for assigning arbitrarily all the non-fixed poles of the compensated system. Finally, the observability of the block decoupled system is examined.

摘要:
Integral controllers designed for various state determined systems, which are subject to constant disturbances and large initial conditions, very often turn out to be unsatisfactory, The overshoot becomes large and the speed of response may not be fast enough even when optimum (in some sense) feedback gains are employed. One euro for such problems is the use of ‘ intelligent’ integral controllers. A scheme for synthesizing an ‘ intelligent ’ controller is given, and then it is applied to the case of a simple system, by which the superiority of the ‘ intelligent’ integral control becomes clear.

摘要:
This paper considers structural properties of non-proper linear multivariable systems in Rosenbrock's generalized state-space form. A particular form of the system matrix is shown to yield various relevant structural properties. The relationship with the theory of singular pencils of matrices and with geometric properties is investigated and provides a full explanation of Rosenbrock's definitions of the zeros of a system. New definitions are proposed for the poles, zeros and decoupling zeros at infinity of a non-proper system. The relevance and the properties of the concepts proposed here are investigated in detail and lead to generalizations of the work of Rosenbrock and Vergliese. The redundancy represented in the polynomial part of a system is established and this yields in two different ways a generalization of Kalman's canonical decomposition of the state-space. Finally, the relationship with invertibility properties is investigated.

摘要:
The problem of optimally controlling a delay-differential system to a final function ia investigated, and necessary conditions for an optimal control are obtained. Sufficient conditions are also obtained for certain linear control systems. The final function condition is replaced by (i) a control-state variable equality constraint and (ii) a final point condition. The necessary condition derived is in the form of a point-wise maximum principle with non-triviality condition in the adjoint variable. The result ia shown to be valid for the problems with bounded controls.

摘要:
The stochastic relative e-controllability of continuous non-stationary linear stochastic dynamical systems with delays is considered. Using a stochastic Liapunov-like approach, the sufficient conditions for stochastic relative (-controllability for systems with lumped and distributed delays are formulated.
