摘要:
This paper presents a new dynamic filtering and smoothing algorithm for discrete non-linear time-delayed systems with coloured noise. The derivation makes use of the matrix minimum principle, to minimize the error variance taken to be the estimation criterion. The algorithms obtained can be approximated to arbitrary order under the assumption that the conditional probability density function of the state variables are Gaussian.

摘要:
This paper presents an economic model based on the cyclical growth theory developed by Keynes, Phillips and Bergstrom (KPB) (Bergstrom 1967). The KPB model has been modified by labelling certain economic factors such aa ‘ marginal propensity to save ’, ‘ employment ratio ’ and ‘ price level equal to a variable positive multiple of average unit-production cost ’ as the control variables. By introducing realistic constraints on the control variables and a suitable performance criterion and applying Pontryagin's maximum principle (Pontryaginet al. 1962), optimal control laws have been derived. Optimal price and employment levels as functions of time (over the plan period) have been computed using a variable step systematic search technique (Rosenbrock 1960).

摘要:
A systematic approach is developed for the design of linear multivariable feedback control systems based on a manipulation of the set of frequency-conscious eigenvalues and eigenvectors of an open-loop transfer-function matrix. The key idea behind the approach used is that of an approximately-commutative controller. An algorithm for approximation of a frame of complex vectors by a frame of real vectors is developed and plays a basic role in the systematic design approach. An example, based on industrial plant data, is given showing how the design method is used.

The zeros of single input/output linear stationary systems have the following two properties : (1) the positions of the zeros are invariant under a state feedback, and (2) they become the poles of the unobservable subspace if it is constructed by an appropriate state feedback. And these two properties are used for the stability criteria of systems in which the disturbances are localized or which have zero-sensitivity.

This paper deals with multicriteria linear continuous optimal control problems through the application of a multicriteria simplex method. To solve these continuous optimal control problems we first discretize the time and replace the system of differential equations by difference equations. Then approximate linear multi-criteria programming problems are formulated by introducing suitable auxiliary variables, Illustrative numerical examples are provided to indicate the efficiency of the proposed method.

摘要:
A new method of assigning min (n,p+m− l) closed-loop poles using linear output feedback is presented. Specifically, parametric expressions of the desired matrixHare derived using either the differential operator or the transfer matrix representation, which not only allow the direct assignment of min (n,p+m− 1) (or more) closed-loop poles, but also make possible the ‘ control ’ of the remaining, non-assignable poles. Finally, as a consequence of the above, an interesting generalization of a well-known scalar result is presented, which constitutes a direct method of assigning min (m,p) closed-loop poles.

Two approaches for decomposition and reduction of dynamical models of the systems are described. Then the stability studies for the reduced models are investigated, and some of the results of application of these approaches to a practical system are reported.

摘要:
An iterative procedure for determining the transfer function (minimum phase) of a linear system from its amplitude frequency response data is presented. The transfer function is the best in the least-squared-error sense. Frequency response data spanning several decades are weighted evenly, so the procedure gives a good fit at all data points. A magnitude-squared function is first found that best fits the frequency response data, and the minimum-phase transfer function is obtained from the magnitude-squared function by spectral factorization. Examples are used to illustrate the application of this procedure in system reduction and system identification.

摘要:
The behaviour of relay control systems with coloured noise is discussed in this paper. It is shown that sliding motions occur in these systems just the same as in noise-free cases. A simple example is studied, and the steady-state probability density function is obtained by numerical calculation. The mean time, while the state variable stays in the sliding region, is obtained. These results show good agreement with those of digital simulation.
