摘要:
An easily implemented strategy for obtaining the required minimal-time and time-optimal control sequence for a given initial state of an nth-order linear discrete system with constraints on the input is described. This strategy uses the boundary faces of the reachable set for the determination of the minimal time. The time-optimal control sequence is achieved by dividing the reachable set into linear and saturated parts.

σo is a real number. We construct a transfer function algebra of fractions, viz. F˚(σo), for modelling possibly unstable distributed systems such that (i) [fcirc] in F˚(σo) is holomorphic in Re s ≧ σo, (i.e. is σo-stable), iff [fcirc] is σo-exponentially stable, and (ii) we allow delay in the direct input-output transmission of the system. This algebra is (a) a restriction of the algebra B˚(σo) developed by Callier and Desoer (1978, 1980 a), (b) an extension of the algebra of proper rational functions such that the exponential order properties of the latter transfer functions of lumped systems are maintained. The algebra F˚ (σo) can be used for modelling and feedback system design. It is shown that standard semigroup systems are better modelled by a transfer function in F˚(σo) rather than B˚(σo).

摘要:
The shift-transformation matrix of general discrete orthogonal polynomials is introduced. General discrete orthogonal polynomials are adopted to obtain the modified discrete Euler-Lagrange equations. Then general discrete orthogonal polynomials are applied to simplify the discrete Euler-Lagrange equations into a set of linear algebraic ones for the approximation of state and control variables of digital systems. An example is included to demonstrate the simplicity and applicability of the method. Also, a comparison of the results obtained via several classical discrete orthogonal polynomials for the same problem is given.

This paper presents a new theory for determining dynamic output feedback of the least order for a linear, time-invariant, controllable and observable SIMO system, such that poles of the closed-loop system lie in a given region Γ in the complex plane. When some poles have prespecified stationary locations in the complex plane, dynamic output feedback is obtained in the sense that the remaining poles lie in Γ This theory applies to continuous-time as well as discrete-time systems. Here a design algorithm for complete system realization and an illustrative example are given.

Various linear least squares methods for transfer function synthesis from frequency response data are presented in a unified format. Solutions are derived from Householder transformations and recursive least squares. An alternative formulation derived from a time domain error criterion is also shown to be of the linear least squares type. The comparative performance of the various methods is illustrated by several examples.

A design procedure for dead-beat control systems with robustness is proposed for general unstable non-minimum-phase plants. Characterization of dead-beat controllers is given in terms of closed-loop error response, based on the YJB parameterization of all stabilizing controllers. The optimally robust design is formulated in terms of a robustness index that is essentially the same as the L2-norm of sensitivity. For a given number of dead-beat steps, a procedure for computing the optimally robust dead-beat controller is derived. The limit value of the robustness index as the number of dead-beat steps goes to infinity is also given. Some numerical examples are shown to illustrate the theoretical results.

The problem is considered of the optimal choice of moving sensor trajectories from the viewpoint of distributed-parameter system identification accuracy. The determinant of the information matrix of parameter estimates is taken as a measure of identification accuracy. Necessary and sufficient conditions for the trajectories to be optimal are derived. It is shown that the optimum trajectories can be found by solving a sequence of optimal sensor allocation problems. A number of examples illustrates the proposed approach.

This paper is concerned with prediction for discrete-time stochastic processes with switching parameters modelled as a finite-state Markov chain, whose transition probability matrix is assumed to be known. For these processes an adaptive predictor, called the multi-model adaptive predictor, is proposed. A simulation example shows the behaviour of the predictor.

This paper deals with explicit analytical dependencies between all coefficients of the closed-loop characteristic polynomial and all entries of the output feedback matrix. First, a special kind of non-linear relation that occurs is explained. Next, computationally-efficient formulae are discussed that yield closed-loop characteristic polynomial coefficients with explicit feedback gain dependence. Then it is shown how the closed-loop characteristic polynomial is associated with the transfer function matrix of the open-loop system. Finally, the results obtained are interpreted graph-theoretically.
