摘要:
It is shown that the singular values of a rational matrix G(s), where s = x+jy, are locally a set of real-analytic functions of x and y. A brief discussion is given of their global properties.

摘要:
The distributed parameter root locus is considered and a relation between simple delay equations and the left-shift operator is developed. This gives a rigorous explanation of the a-plane behaviour of delay systems and shows that the classical root locus starting on the open-loop poles of the system can become bands swept out by connected components of the spectrum of the system operator in the infinite-dimensional case.

摘要:
For a McDonnell-Douglas F-4C aircraft a robust, fixed gain controller is designed, which provides satisfying handling qualities of the longitudinal motion or the aircraft over the complete flight range without gain scheduling. Robustness is achieved in the sense of covering largo paramoter variations and providing good gain and phase margins, Only low control rates and low feedback gains are involved, The results are obtained by application of a performance vector optimization design method which accounts for a great many different design objectives simultaneously in a highly systematic fashion. Two different designs are presented placing emphasis on pitch rate control (pointing) and normal acceleration control (manoeuvring) respectively.

摘要:
A brief summary of component cost analysis (CCA) is given. CCA provides a means to determine the contribution of each dynamical element of the system in the overall performance metric. Using CCA a theory of cost-equivalent realizations is developed. Cost-equivalent realizations are realizations that have the same value of the performance metric as the original system, and they can be of lower order than Kalman's minimal realization.

摘要:
This paper considers a linear time invariant lumped multivariable feedback system consisting of a plant, which is subjected to perturbations, a precompensator and a feedback compensator. Given that, the nominal feedback system is exponentially stable and achieves considerable disturbance rejection, this paper establishesnecessary and sufficientconditions on thenominalfeedback system so that, over the prescribed class of additive/multiplicative perturbations, all perturbed feedback systems preserve stability and considerable disturbance rejection. The generalization to distributed systems and the extension to discrete systems are indicated.

摘要:
This paper is concerned with the development of an algorithm for pole placement in multi-input dynamic systems. The algorithm which uses a series of elementary transformations is believed to be simpler, computationally more efficient and numerically stable when compared with earlier methods. In this paper two methods have been presented.

摘要:
In this paper, an adaptive observer design method based upon the least square approach is presented for an unknown time invariant continuous linear plant. This observer is then implemented in the design of an adaptive pole placement problem for arbitrarily positioning all the poles of the unknown plant. The generated feedback control signal is shown to converge to a desired pole placing state feedback control signal.

摘要:
The behaviour of four adaptive algorithms—LMS, equation error, output error identification and the Goodwin-Ramadge-Caines adaptive control algorithm—are examined in the face of plant parameter variations. The key point to note is that persistency of excitation conditions in the time invariant parameter case guarantees exponential convergence. Then standard and newly developed Lyapunov stability results allow us to guarantee tracking error and parameter error boundedness when the plant parameters are actually time varying.

摘要:
The optimal estimation problem of linear continuous time-invariant processes is considered. Explicit simple expressions, in closed form, are obtained, in the case where the measurement record is infinitely long, for the constant Kalman gain and the corresponding minimum-error covariance matrix of the filtered estimate in terms of the zero structure of the power-spectrum density matrix of the measurement vector. These expressions are very easy to apply and they provide a geometric insight into the-structure of the optimal filter. They are also applied in filtering problems with a measurement record of finite time and in problems of optimal smoothing where similar explicit results are obtained.

摘要:
A Smith predictor has been known as an effective controller to overcome a dead time. If the plant, however, is unstable, the closed-loop system cannot be stabilized with a Smith predictor. In order to stabilize an unstable plant with time delay, we propose a predictive control which is composed of an observer, a predictor and a controller. We refer to the realization of the predictor, and indicate an available type of model for it. In addition, we suggest the possibility that predictive control with a stable approximate model may be applied to an astatic plant.
