摘要:
This paper shows that the well-known diagonal dominance condition associated with Rosenbrock's stability theorems is unnecessary and can be replaced by a less restrictive generalized diagonal dominance condition. Similar results are derived for generalized block diagonally dominant systems. Whenever possible graphical interpretations are given to facilitate the implementation of these ideas in computer aided design packages.

摘要:
The problem of achieving output-decoupling for linear single-input single-output.systems subjected to unknown step disturbances is considered. The adaptive; control scheme of Elliott and Wolovich is used, together with integral feedback, to obtain arbitrarily t he desired dynamic behaviour of the output response. The proposed scheme uses only input and output measurements and is globally asymptotically stable. A study employing a second-order plant is presented to illustrate the technique and its properties.

摘要:
A class of linear regulator problems, referred to as tracking problems, impose the requirements of zero steady state error, elimination of disturbance effects and immunity to system parameter changes. A controller design approach for this problem, using linear optimal control theory, is presented, and its advantages are outlined by comparison with previous modern and classical approaches.

摘要:
In this paper the asymptotic behaviour of a class of bilinear systems is studied. The asymptotic set is defined, and is then characterized through a nested sequence of closed and attractive sets. It is shown to be the smallest closed and attractive set. Moreover, after introducing the notion of strong invariance, the asymptotic set is shown to coincide with the greatest strongly invariant set. These results hold, more generally, for any system whose state transition function is continuous, provided that its state space and input set are compact subsets of finite dimensional spaces.

摘要:
A method using two dimension block-pulse functions for estimating the parameters, and initial and boundary conditions of a class of non-linear distributed systems is presented. Compared with Walsh function approaches, it is more convenient for computer use and is simpler in form. Appropriate examples are included to illustrate the use of the proposed method.

摘要:
A sufficient condition is given for the existence of a static output feedback which shifts the poles of a linear time-invariant multivariable control system into a specified complex domain Cg- The proof of this result also shows how existing output feedback pole assignment methods may be applied to the Cg-stabilization problem; for example it is shown that the result of Li (1972) is a special case of the results of the present paper. In addition some previously published sufficient conditions for arbitrary pole assignment by output feedback are investigated in order to set out in a more concise form than hitherto the circumstances in which these conditions apply.

摘要:
An iterative scheme is proposed for the optimal control of systems described by delay differential equations with a quadratic cost functional. The scheme generates a partly closed-loop and partly open-loop control. The convergence of the algorithm is established under certain smallness assumptions. The example considered shows that the proposed algorithm works even when the smallness conditions are far from being satisfied.

摘要:
The purpose of this paper is to report some new results concerning the geometry of the set 𝒫0of all solutions of a quadratic matrix inequality (QMI) arising in stochastic realization theory and the subset 𝒫0of all solutions of the corresponding algebraic Riccati equation (ARE). The boundary, interior and extreme points of 𝒫 are studied. Some new results linking 𝒫0to 𝒫 are presented. A complete characterization of some subsets of 𝒫0and 𝒫 are given. Additional properties of the feedback matrix corresponding to any element in 𝒫0are obtained.
