摘要:
The effect of plant parameter variations on systems with nominally time-optimal feedback controllers is investigated. It is assumed that the plant parameter remains constant and that the time-optimal controller calculated for the nominal plant parameter is used. For higher-order systems remarkably small deviations of the plant parameter from its nominal value are found to yield instability. A sub-optimal controller design which results in sliding motion ensures stability and yields acceptable settling time for moderato parameter variations

摘要:
This paper presents an adaptive quantization scheme for the reduction of the percentage error in the output of the quantizer. The improvement in the system performance is illustrated by simulating a uniform step and an adaptive quantizer on a digital computer and comparing their outputs. A significant improvement in the output is achieved by using the suggested scheme.

摘要:
An attempt is made here to demonstrate the usefulness of quasilinearization technique for the estimation of states and parameters of a discrete-time system. The estimation problem is viewed as a least-squared-errors problem which is then transformed into a Two Point Boundary Value (TPBV) problem by the use of the Discrete Maximum Principle. The TPBV problem is then solved by the quasilinearization technique.
