摘要:
Forney has recently given a definition of (nvariant) dynamical indices, for a proper transfer function matrix G(s), which are the same as the minimal indices (controllability indices) defined earlier. The dynamical indices can also be defined for non-proper 0(s), but are then no longer equal to the earlier indices. It is shown that in general the sum of the dynamical indices is the McMillan degree of G(s), and that they are invariant under an extended transformation of Brunovsky's type which includes output feedback.

摘要:
The system considered is Ex=Ax + Bu, y= Cx, with E singular. It is shown that infinite decoupling zeros can be defined, and these induce a fourfold decomposition, of that part of the system giving rise to the polynomial port of the transfer function matrix, analogous to Kalman'B canonical decomposition. Minimal indices are also defined, and are shown to be equal to dynamical indices based on the work of Forney and studied recently by Rosenbrock and Hayton.

摘要:
The generalized form of Zubov's partial differential equation (Szego 1962) is written using the dynamical equations of a power system. Then a Lyapunov function which satisfies the partial differential equation is obtained by using a transformation of state variables. The V function obtained is used to describe the region of stability. The application of the method to the power system stability problem is illustrated by considering a synchronous generator connected to an infinite bus, Three examples, using three different models for the synchronous machine, are given.

摘要:
Necessary conditions for the optimum linear dynamic model reduction problem subject to a pulse input (Dirac delta function) are derived. These conditions are based on the integral square error and are applicable to multiple input-single output systems. Such a problem can be made computationally feasible for finite and infinite time intervals and for various forms of the low order system. A numerical example based on unsteady state heat conduction is presented

摘要:
A unified continued fraction theory which can be considered as a generalized feedback theory is established. A multiple cycle model consisting of many feedback constant matrices and many feed forward integral matrices is constructed. The outer feedback constant matrix corresponds to the first partial quotient matrix of the overall matrix continued fraction, whereas the outer forward integral matrix is corresponding to the second quotient matrix. Therefore, the partial quotient matrices of the continued fraction and the feedback and feed forward matrices of the system diagram are one-to-one correspondence in order. The influence of each matrix on the performance of the entire system depends on its position. The outer ones are much more important than the inner ones. A reduction model can be obtained by discarding certain inner matrices.

摘要:
This paper presents a clipping-off technique which, when used in association with gradient methods in function space, can be used to solve non-linear optima control problems with magnitude constraint on the control inputs. The proposed clipping-off gradient algorithms are simple to implement on a digital computer and preserve the large range of convergence of first-variational methods. Several numerical examples are included, one of which contains two state-variable inequality constraints and a magnitude constraint on the control input

摘要:
Bilinear operators on Hilbert resolution spaces provide the setting for the analysis of linear systems with multiplicative control. Recent results on the solution of certain strictly causal linear operator equations are brought to bear in the bilinear setting. In the process a close similarity to resolvant properties of convention spectral theory is utilized. The results are interpreted in a systems context through a series of examples

摘要:
This paper presents a computer-oriented technique to generate the necessary control inputs to guide an aircraft in a given time from a given initial state (position, velocity and heading) to a prescribed final state subject to the constraints on airspeed, acceleration, and pitch and bank angles of the aircraft. A discrete-time mathematical model requiring five state variables and three control variables is obtained, assuming steady wind and zero sideslip. The guidance problem is posed as a discrete non-linear optimal control problem with a cost functional of Bolza form. A solution technique for the control problem is investigated and numerical examples are presented. It is believed that this approach should prove to be useful in automated air traffic control schemes near large terminal areas
