摘要:
A sequential derivation of the reachability matrix is given, related to graph theoretic considerations, and earlier results on the structural inverse of a matrix are reformulated on the basis of an observed duality. A relationship between a matrix, a full rank permutation matrix included in it and its reachability matrix are given, as well as a property of the reachability matrix of a product. A hypothesis on the reachability matrix, stating that it is ‘its own inverse’ and relating to the structural modal matrix, is confirmed and the reachability and the acyclic input-output reachable partitions of dynamic systems are discussed; forms relating them to structural controllability, structural observability and structural transfer function matrices are presented.

This paper presents robustness properties of LQ regulators for linear time-invariant systems with delay in the input. The Kalman inequality concerning the return difference matrix is derived, and the stability margins of LQ regulators are investigated when the open-loop systems are stable. In order to obtain the stability margins of LQ regulators, an upper bound of the solution of LQ Riccati equations is derived. Finally, the LQG/LTR method for the robustness improvement of LQG regulators is obtained and illustrated with an example.

摘要:
A deterministic design approach for decentralized robust controls of a class of large-scale uncertain dynamical systems is proposed. The uncertainty under consideration can be fast time-varying; no aprioristatistical information is assumed or utilized. Only the possible bound of this uncertainty is known. Two important types of robust control algorithms are proposed. The local control utilizes the local state of each subsystem as the feedback information. The global control utilizes the local state as well as the states of the neighbouring subsystems as the feedback information. Both types of control algorithms are continuous functions of the state.

A macro-difference equation representation is proposed which is a mixture of finite-difference quotients and integrals over finite time intervals. The choice of the micro or sampling interval length (for the numerical integration accuracy and representation bandwidth) and the choice of the macro interval length (for numerical conditioning/accuracy of the difference quotients and of the resulting equations) are independent. This approach does not need the assumption (which in practical situations is quite unnatural) of zero initial conditions.

The paper considers robust stability properties for Schur polynomials of the form. By plotting coefficient variations in planes defined by variablei-o pairs a,-, an.{ for each i and requiring in each such plane the region of obtained coefficients to be bounded by lines of slope 45°, 90° and 135°, we show that stability for all polynomials defined by corner points is necessary and sufficient for stability of all polynomials defined by any points in the region. Using this idea, one can construct several necessity and differing sufficiency conditions for the stability of polynomials where each aIcan vary independently in an interval [ai, āi]. As the sufficiency conditions become closer to necessity conditions the number of distinct polynomials for which stability has to be tested increases.

摘要:
A simplified algorithm is developed using Taylor series expansion about an arbitrary point, a, for the construction of minimal realizations for generalized transfer functions. The state space realization is given in the form of a linear, time-invariant, discrete-time, singular system. Compared to existing methods, the proposed method reduces the computational effort and memory storage requirements. Furthermore, the quadruple [E, A, B, C] resulting from this technique is more general than similar expressions from existing approaches.

A method is presented of calculating the inverse of a matrix whose elements are a linear combination of Walsh functions. Owing to an elegant property of Walsh functions, the inverse of such a matrix is shown to be obtained by solving a set of linear algebraic equations.

摘要:
Model-based control algorithms for industrial manipulators require the on-line evaluation of robot dynamics and are particularly sensitive to modelling errors. The development of a unifying framework for the analysis and design of model-based robot control strategies is the theme of this paper. In this framework, the practical problems associated with real-time implementation are highlighted and methods to improve the robustness of the closed-loop system are suggested.
