摘要:
Existence criteria and computational methods are presented for finding stabilizing state feedback laws for systems with uncertain state or control matrices. The uncertainties are modelled as sector bounded non-linearities, and feedback laws ensuring global asymptotic closed loop stability are obtained using Lyapunov'e direct method. The algorithms essentially amount to repeatedly solving a parameter dependent Riccati equation until the maximal solution becomes positive definite.

摘要:
The problem of generating the state sensitivity functions of linear time-invariant continuous systems using only one additional cascaded model having the same dimension as that of the system is treated in this paper. Necessary and sufficient conditions for the state sensitivity functions to be expressed as linear transformations of the combined state of the system and the cascaded model are derived. Explicit expressions for these linear transformations are obtained via the necessary and sufficient conditions for the controllable and alpha canonical forms, both with single input.

摘要:
This paper solves the disturbance decoupling problem in decentralized control systems. The general case is considered where no assumption is made on the number of sub systems. The necessary and sufficient conditions are given under which disturbance decoupling is possible by applying local state feedback laws.

摘要:
In this paper, a theory is proposed for a new optimal process to perform chained aggregation in reduced-order modelling. Notions of ‘almost invariant subspaces’ and ‘approximate aggregation’ are introduced in the proposed theory and are shown to be useful concepts in model reduction. To derive an exact aggregated model from the approximately aggregated model obtained by optimal chained aggregation, an algorithm is presented which is a variant of the well-known shifted QR algorithm. Examples are given to illustrate the theory and its superiority over a previous approach.

摘要:
A quantitative upper hound is established which defines the extent to which a minimum-order reduced-order non-adaptive observer may be rendered insensitive to parameter variations. That upper bound depends on the number of measurements and the location of questionable parameters within the system matrices. An integral squared error objective function is explicitly solved. That objective function may be used to assess the sensitivity of the system to parameter errors. A numerical example is presented for a continuous observer. The results are extended to the discrete ease.

摘要:
Through a geometric approach, it is shown that a sufficiently large class of incentive (Stackelberg) problems with perfect or partial dynamic information admits optimal incentive schemes that are affine in the available information. As a byproduct of the analysis, explicit expressions for these affine incentive schemes are obtained, and the general results are applied to two different classes of Stackelberg game problems with partial dynamic information.

摘要:
The model-order testing of linear dynamical models from input/output data is considered using instrumental product moment (IPM) methods. In particular, the basic technique is extended to cover more general situations and an application to aircraft engine testing is presented

摘要:
Synthesis of optimal or suboptimal state feedbacks with the help of various perturbation techniques has been handled extensively in the literature, for example by Kokotovic and by Sandellet al.One of the main obstacles to applying these formalisms to large linear systems is the difficulty of finding a suitable perturbation structure.

摘要:
In this paper the tracking and control problems of a multi-input multi-output system with unknown coefficients and with quadratic index are considered. Estimates of the unknown parameters are first given, and based on them the self-tuning control law is formed. Sufficient conditions for the parameter estimates to converge to the true ones, and for the difference between the self-tuning control and the optimal control to tend to zero, are considered.
