摘要:
Aizerman's conjecture has, so far, been proved for second-order and also for a class of third-order systems. In this paper it is shown that the conjecture holds true for Systems of arbitrary order for a class of systems. A multi-dimensional form of the Popov condition for stability is utilized for the purpose. Numerical examples of the applications of the conjecture are also discussed.

摘要:
Driver has made an extensive Study of neutral functional differential equations and obtained the existence and uniqueness results for a rather broad class of those equations. Krasovskii, Driver, Hale and many others have obtained many results by using the concept of Lyapunov functional for functional differential equations. In this paper we extend their results to neutral functional differential equations and derive many properties of the solutions of the equations which cover bounds on the norm of the solutions and approximate solutions, global existence, stability and boundedness. Our results also generalize the results of Antosicwicz and Breuer.

摘要:
An extension of the method of Kryloff and Bogoliuboff is presented which uses Jacobian elliptic functions to approximate the solutions to a class of second-order differential equations exhibiting a gross cubic non-linearity. The results obtained from an analysis of the error incurred by the approximation show that, provided certain conditions of smallness are satisfied, excellent solution accuracy can be obtained. Two examples are used to demonstrate application of the extension to systems of practical interest.

摘要:
In this paper some aspects on the realization of a Boolean function by a three-level NAND network have been studied. It has been shown that the problem is an involved one and usually the most economic network is obtained only when suitable redundant prime implicants are allowed along with the prime implicants present in any cover. Since the number of covers associated with any function is large, it is not possible to obtain the most economic network without exhaustive testing. However, it is observed that the problem becomes simpler if one proceeds to obtain the network using the minimum number of gates in the AND level. For most of the problems this gives the absolute minimum network. In this paper a method has been suggested to obtain such a network.

摘要:
Necessary conditions for a wide class of differential games are doveloped from the geometric point of view. The results are applicable to such pertinent problems as finding optimal pursuit-evasion strategics with inequality constraints. Other con-flict situations and certain economic and sociological examples can be cast into a form such that the theory would bo applicable. In a companion paper a set of sufficient conditions for the game problems is considered.

This work presents the results of a control systems study of the effect of amortisseur windings On tho stability of an alternator that is driven by a diesol engine. Results are presented for several winding combinations and for several load conditions. The study was made with the aid of a model EAI TR-48 analogue computer. The results are presented and verified using transfer function techniques.

摘要:
It is shown that when the plant of a relay control system consists of a pure integrators, with n ≥ 3, and the control signal proceding the relay is a linear combination of state coordinates, the system is unstable in-the-large for all values of the controller coefficients. The same result holds if the relay is replaced by a. saturator.
