摘要:
This paper deals with the time-optimal control of a class of linear-distributed systems with a composite-norm constraint. The method of i-theory of moments is used to obtain the solution. This gives rise to two auxiliary problems: (i) an infinite set of Fredholm integral equations, and (ii)a minimization problem in the dual space.

摘要:
The first and second moments of the distribution function of the arc length of a Gaussian process on a finite interval are obtained in terms of the covariance function of the derivative process. A closed expression (in terms of a modified Bessel function) was obtained for the first moment; however, the second moment had to be evaluated numerically. Numerical calculations were carried out for three typical covariance functions.

摘要:
The problem of designing an optimal feedback controller is discussed for a distributed parameter system governed by a partial differential equation of parabolic type. A quadratic performance index is evaluated with spatially concentrated and time-discrete control, and controllability of this system is investigated. Also an estimator with multi-pointwise observation is constructed. Computational algorithms of these controller and estimator are derived, and to show their validities, a few numerical examples are given

摘要:
A new technique of identification of linear stationary multi-variable systems is presented in this paper. The natural modes are determined accurately by a Gram matrix formulation of the output functions and the weightings of these modes are calculated by the schemes described. The state equations developed from the decomposed outputs provide, up to a linear equivalence upon the state space, a true description of the system. Among the advantages of the method are its relative insensitivity to noise in the data, and the explicit determination of the system order.

The concept of causality is introduced in a generalized form. Related system properties are then developed in an axiomatic manner. The unification of the development is illustrated through examples and discussions on related literature

摘要:
The contraction mapping principle is used to obtain sufficient conditions for the bounded-input bounded-output (BIBO)stability of a class of single-loop discrete-data systems with a single continuous non-linearity in the feedback path. The boundedness of the output is considered only at the discrete instants of sampling. The method of obtaining the best bounds for the sampled input and output in a particular case of the non-linearity is discussed. A numerical example is given to illustrate the technique of analysis

摘要:
It is known that the switching curve which defines the synthesis in the problem of determining time optimal trajectories to the origin for second-order differential systems consists of two basic lobes together with their ‘reflections’ through certain conjugate time intervals. The switching curve may thus possess corners. It is here shown that these corners lie on the x-axis in the phase plane for a particular class of problems.

摘要:
This paper presents the functional analysis and iterative procedure for the minimum-time control problem subject to energy and magnitude constraints on the control functions. The necessary change of Swiger's method is described to solve a multi-boundary problem and numerical results are presented for a linear control system.

摘要:
A one-dimensional heat conduction system is optimized with respect to a quadratic performance index. A sampled-data model is employed to obtain a representation of the system for which the standard form of the matrix Riccati equation and the Kalman equation may be employed. Solutions obtained for the two equations are in excellent agreement with each other and also with a published result.
