摘要:
A minimum principle in Hilbert space is presented which is an extension of Katz‘s generalized minimum principle to include integral or integrodifferential, with respect to time and/or space, models. Some of the results obtained by Butkovskii and Egorov for distributed-parameter systems appear as special cases. This is illustrated by a particular example.

摘要:
This paper extends the principle of self-suppression of oscillations employed in continuous systems to non-linear sampled-data systems with transportation lag. The principle is based on the proper design of a. minor feedback loop to generate an oscillation with the desired frequency and amplitude. The type of response of the system is shown to depend entirely on the gain of the inner feedback path. Further it is shown that larger values of delay require larger gains to be employed in the inner feedback path to suppress the inherent oscillation. The results clearly indicate that by proper adjustment of the gain a response said to be optimum in regard to Borne performance index can be obtained.

摘要:
A new practical method, hereby called the ‘moment functional method’, is presented for the identification of the parameters of distributed parameter systems characterized by either the one-dimensional wave or diffusion equation. The method is extended to include systems characterized by a one-dimensional diffusion equation with a coefficient which is a polynomial in time. In this case the method determines the coefficients in the polynomial. The feasibility of the method lies in the on-line generation of linear time-invariant algebraic equations in the unknown system parameters by means of two Poisson filter chains which are fed from three points along the distributed system. The results of simulation studies are presented to illustrate the applicability of the method.

摘要:
This paper describes a. systematic modelling technique which makes it possible to avoid many of the tedious elements that always are involved in the modelling of industrial processes. The technique is based on the non-linear equations which are usually obtained from basic physical laws. It gives a systematic procedure to compute steady-stato solutions and linearized equations from the non-linear physical equations. The procedure is based on well-known methods for solving non-linear equations and numerical differentiation. The final result is a system description in state space form S(A, B, C, D). The essential difficulty is to find the smallest number of state variables and to assign these to the linearized model. A method for solving this problem is the main result of the paper. The paper also contains an application of this method to the modelling of a boiler.

摘要:
Since the works of Kalman (1963) and Tou (1964) it is known that annth-order sampled-data system needsncontrol signals to reach equilibrium if taken in an arbitrary initial state. These control signals may be applied either in open loop, through linear feedback channels when all the state variables are accessible or with a digital compensator if only the output is available. A computational procedure for solving this problem is described. This method uses the analogue simulation of the process in order to form a linear system which is then solved on a digital computer giving directly the open-loop control signals. Then, with the open-loop control signals one sees how the feedback coefficients or the digital compensator can be found in a very simple way in order to get dead-beet response. The method has the advantage of keeping all the tedious work (matrix integration and matrix multiplication) to a minimum by using the analogue computer, the digital computer only having to solve two linear systems. The method may be applied to scalar systems or to multi-input systems. The authors think that the design of dead-beat compensators is thus greatly simplified mid two examples are displayed with numerical results.
