摘要:
A computational method for optimal control problems is proposed. The method, which is based on the polynomial expansions of the state and adjoint variables, is efficient and can be applied to a variety of optimal control problems. The usefulness of the proposed method is demonstrated with several examples.

Time-optimal feedback control laws are derived for seven fourth-order systems with real non-positive eigenvalues and a single saturable control input. The method is based on the property of time-optimality exhibited by a certain predictive control strategy.

摘要:
In this paper we consider a manufacturing firm with a capacity that can be used to produce several kinds of products. A mathematical model for this type of manufacturing firm is constructed and a new profit functional is introduced. Note that in this problem the derivatives of the profit integrand with respect to some state variables are only piecewise continuous. Thus, Pontryagin's Maximum Principle cannot be used for our problem. Therefore, a modified maximum principle of Pontryagin type is derived in § 5. Its proof follows the approach developed by Blatt and Gray (1976) and generalized by Moore and Teo (1976). This maximum principle, together with a basic theorem in linear programming problems, is used to obtain the optimal policy for the production rate and the advertising expenditure for each kind of product. For illustration, two numerical examples are given.

摘要:
The equivalent transformation of the optimal control problems is proposed. The equivalent transformation is the expanded canonical transformation involving the transformation of the control. The generating function plays an important role in the equivalent transformation. The quadratic generating function is discussed. In this case the equivalent transformation is linear.
