摘要:
The method of asymptotic currents is presented and its reliability for calculating the currents and the Radar Cross-Section (RCS) is verified on two-dimensional convex perfectly conducting objects with elliptic or ogival cross-sections. It is shown that the accuracy of this method is competitive with numerical methods like the method of moments and well adapted for RCS computation of targets with large dimensions in wavelengths and low reflectivity.

摘要:
An efficient numerical integration algorithm is developed to evaluate the spatial-domain Green's function of vector and scalar potentials. A rigorous formulation for the Green's function in multi-layered media is derived in the spectral domain involving Sommerfeld-type integrals. This approach requires little analytic derivation for singular terms, and reduces the computation effort by using the weighted-average method to evaluate the oscillatory tail integrals. It is found that this algorithm is very efficient and suitable to model interconnects and microstrip elements for printed circuits/antennas with arbitrary size and any number of layers.

摘要:
This paper fills in some gaps in the Physical Theory of Diffraction (PTD). Possible extensions of the notion of the uniform and nonuniform currents are discussed for scattering problems involving objects with complex shapes and complex material properties. In the case of a perfectly conducting wedge, exact expressions for the nonuniform (fringe) current are presented in terms of fast convergent integrals. Their analytical properties are investigated in details. These integrals together with asymptotic expressions provide an efficient tool for numerical calculations of the nonuniform current. The results can be used for example in the analysis of scattering and antenna problems for large polyhedrons.

摘要:
The diffraction by a resistive sheet attached to a two-sided impedance plane, made up by perfectly electric conducting and impedance half-planes, is presented. AnE-plane wave normally illuminates this structure, therefore, the problem is a two dimensional one. By using Sommerfeld-Maliuzhinets' method, the problem is reduced to the solution of a coupled system of functional equations for two spectral functions corresponding to the two spatial regions defined by the resistive sheet. By eliminating either of the spectral functions, a second-order difference equation with variable 2π-periodic coefficients is obtained for the remaining one. A general method of constructing a single-valued solution of this second-order difference equation is presented based on the Fourier transform. It is shown that the obtained single-valued meromorphic spectral function satisfies the edge condition, pole requirement and the radiation condition.
