A technique of impregnation by fluorescent resins followed by observations of thin sections in U V light has been applied to the study of porosity, brecciation and shock effects in chondritic meteorites. The following chondrites have been studied: Sena, Ikhraréne, Kernouve, Koutiaran, L'Aigle, Tiberrhamine. Tentative chronological orders of tectonic events undergone by those meteorites are proposed

The Alfianello meteorite was inspected by optical microscopy, both by transmitted and reflected light, in order to look for evidence of shock metamorphism. The stone is a well‐recrystallized olivine‐hypersthene chondrite that shows unambiguous features of dynamic deformation. Some examples of planar deformation structures, which are notable in olivine and plagioclase feldspar crystals, are reported. The influx rate of cosmic spherules can be measured on sediments of which the rate of deposition is known. It proved to be constant over long geological periods.Also, deposits of homogeneous composition in which the spherule concentration did not fluctuate appear to prove that the influx rate of cosmic spherules remained constant when the respective sediments had been laid down.
