摘要:
Somatic cell hybrids between mouse peritoneal macrophages (MPM) and human fibrosarcoma cells (HT-1080) or Chinese hamster cells (A3) were analyzed by starch-gel electrophoresis for the expression of murine enolase. Data obtained indicate that the locus for enolase is on chromosome 4 in the mouse.

We have studied the expression of mouse galactokinase in human-mouse somatic cell hybrids segregating mouse chromosomes. Since concordant segregation of the expression of mouse galactokinase and the presence of mouse chromosome 11 were observed in the hybrid clones, we conclude that the gene for mouse galactokinase is located on mouse chromosome 11. We have also investigated the expression of mouse galactokinase in somatic cell hybrids between thymidine kinase-deficient Chinese hamster cells and mouse peritoneal macrophages. The results of this study indicate that the expression of mouse galactokinase and thymidine kinase segregates concordantly, and, therefore, we infer that the gene for mouse thymidine kinase is also located on mouse chromosome 11.

摘要:
Cytological analysis of a squirrel monkey indicates a considerable degree of chromosomal polymorphism. DNA synthetic patterns reveal late synthesis in chromosomal segments that are C-band negative and asynchrony in DNA replication between homologs. Location of a satellite DNA with a CsCl neutral buoyant density of 1.691 g/ml was mainly in the noncentromeric constitutive heterochromatin.

摘要:
The adenylate kinase1 (AK1), adenylate kinase3 (AK3), and aconitases (ACON3) genes have been assigned to chromosome 9 in man by employing an X/9 translocation segregating in man-mouse somatic cell hybrids. Segregation was controlled by taking advantage of the HAT/8-azaguanine selection-counterselection strategy directed at the X-linked HPRT locus. Assignment of AK1to chromosome 9 has suggested the assignment of the ABO blood-group locus and the nail-patella (Np) locus to 9, since both loci are linked to AK1by family studies.

£A standard G-band karyotype is proposed for the genus Peromyscus. G-banded chromosomes of Peromyscus boylii glasselli (NF = 56), numbered and arranged according to euchromatic lengths, serve as the standard. It is suggested that rearrangements of the standard pattern which occur in other species of Peromyscus be described using the general methods of the Paris Conference (1971)
