SUMMARYThe photoprotection afforded by three sunscreens available by prescription in the U.K. has been studied in patients with severe broad action‐spectrum photosensitivity. All products investigated exhibited high protection against UV‐B radiation in accordance with the protection factors quoted by the respective manufacturers. On the other hand, the protection against UV‐A ranged only from fair to poor. The need for a sunscreen which has good protection against UV‐A is shown to be important for the satisfactory management of patients with severe broad action spectrum photosens

SUMMARYA 36‐year‐old woman had a 6‐year history of recurrent panniculitis with development of an angiocentric and angiodestructive cutaneous T‐cell lymphoma (CTCL) of the helper cell phenotype. She subsequently developed a rapidly progressive fatal syndrome characterized by cytophagocytic histiocytosis and hyperlipidaemia. SUMMARYA case of angiosarcoma of the scalp is reported. The histogenesis of this tumour is discussed in terms of the ultrastructural and immunohistochemical findings. This type of angiosarcoma is uncommon and carries a poor prognosis; the therapeutic alternatives are discussed.

摘要:
SUMMARYA child with segmental neurofibromatosis is reported. The clinical, histopathological and ultrastructural characteristics of this rare condition are described. This entity is considered to be a localized form of von Recklinghausen's disease. The aetiology is not clear, but somatic mutation in early embryonic development may be important.
