摘要:
A generalized block pulse function (GBPF) is employed to solve a functional differential equation. The operational matrix for integration and the functional operational matrix of the GBPF are introduced to solve the state equation in order to simplify the calculation procedure. The greatest advantage of using a GBPF is that the time interval of calculation can be adjusted arbitrarily. A small time interval is chosen for a steep change of state variable with time and a large time interval is chosen for a flat change of state variable with time. Therefore, the number of expansion coefficients is greatly reduced and the computer time is also minimized when using GBPF compared with the conventional BPF. An illustrative example is given. It is shown that computational results are more accurate for a steep change of state variable using a GBPF rather than a BPF.

摘要:
In this paper the sensitivity of optimal control systems with respect to modelling errors is discussed. In particular, the deterioration of the performance due to deterministic and stochastic perturbations, or to unmodelled interconnections with other systems, is explicitly expressed by a degree of suboptimality.

摘要:
In this paper, two classes are defined of time-varying large-scale interconnected systems that can always be stabilized by time-varying decentralized local feedback. The results extend previous ones. In addition, some useful properties are obtained.

摘要:
The design of a state feedback controller for a two-time-scale discrete-time system is considered via a two-stage design approach. After discrete-time modelling via slow and fast sampling rates has been discussed, state feedback design approaches for the fast sampling model (i.e. the two-stage design approach and the direct approach) are studied, and the relation between them is clarified. Following these results, the eigenvalue assignment and the stabilizing problems are investigated.

摘要:
A programmable algorithm that can generate canonical integral weight vectors with a given weights sum has been described. For realization, vectors with minimum possible sums are generated first and tested for possible realization of the given threshold function. If the function fails to be realized, a weight vector with the next higher sum is generated and the process is continued until a realization has been found. A realization with given restrictions can also be found if one exists. Further, even threshold functions can be identified by the use of the algorithm.

摘要:
This paper considers general non-linear semi-infinite programming problems and presents an implementable method which employs an exactL∞penalty function. Since theL∞penalty function is continuous even if the number of representative constraints changes, trust-region techniques may effectively be adopted to obtain global convergence. Numerical results are given to show the efficiency of the proposed algorithm.

摘要:
Linear time-varying systems and bilinear systems are each analysed via Taylor series. Using the operational matrix for integration and the product operational matrix, the dynamical equation of a linear time-varying system (or a bilinear system) is reduced to a set of simultaneous linear algebraic equations. The coefficient vectors of the Taylor series expansions can be determined recursively by the algorithm derived. The algorithm proposed here is similar to those already developed for orthogonal functions; however, owing to the simplicity of the operational matrix of integration and the product operational matrix, Taylor series present considerable computational advantages compared with the other polynomial series, provided that both the input and the output signals are analytic functions oft.

摘要:
The operational matrix consisting of the product of two time functions, and the operational matrices for forward or backward integration consisting of general orthogonal polynomials are derived, respectively, for the analysis and optimal control of linear time-varying systems with a quadratic performance measure. The present results include results obtained via Chebyshev, Legendre, Laguerre, Jacobi, Hermite and ultraspherical polynomials as special cases.
