摘要:
The stability robustness of linear-variant systems in the time domain is considered using the Lyapunov approach and the maximum singular values of a time-variant matrix. Bounds on linear time-varying perturbations that maintain the stability of a uniformly asymptotically stable linear time-variant system are obtained for both unstructured and structured independent perturbations. Bounds are also derived assuming that various elements of the system matrix are perturbed dependency. The result for the structural perturbation case is extended to the stability analysis of time-variant interval matrices.

摘要:
A recursive fixed-point-type method is presented for the study of the optimal control problem of large-scale systems. The control is obtained by decomposition of the system to ‘ϵ coupled’ subsystems so that only low-order systems are involved in algebraic computations. It is shown that the developed reduced-order parallel algorithms converge to the desired solution with the rate O(ϵ). Owing to its recursive nature, the presented method produces a considerable saving of computation. An illustrative numerical example is given to verify the proposed approach.

摘要:
This paper provides a different approach to the analysis of imperfect stock markets. The model we are concerned with is described by the interaction of three institutional classes of agents (the specialist trader, the professional trader and the non-professional trader), sharing different information. The dynamical discrete-time system obtained can be changed into a second-order linear difference equation forced by the fundamental value of the specialist trader. Using typical tools of control theory, we study the behaviour of the professional trader's fundamental value influenced by the specialist's one,

摘要:
S1SO linear systems composed of positively interconnected positive subsystems are considered in this paper. In particular, it is shown that these systems have stable zeros (i.e. are minimum phase) if they are standard (i.e. stable and excitable) and have only one forward input-output path composed of minimum phase subsystems. Three examples show how useful this property is.

摘要:
This paper deals with the optimal output feedback problem of how to initialize a controller's state when the initial value of the system is known. Special attention is paid to a tracking problem. Owing to the design freedom of the controller's initial state, there exist optimal controllers to recover the optimal performance that a state feedback law can attain. Other advantages with our optimal controllers are the requisite internal model and an invariance property, which shows that the assignment of a controller's dynamic parameters is independent of the system's initial state.

摘要:
We consider the problem of robust stability of a class of uncertain nonlinear dynamical systems with time-varying delay. Based on the assumption that the nominal system (i.e. the system in the absence of uncertainty and delay) is stable, we derive some sufficient conditions on robust stability of uncertain nonlinear dynamical systems with time-varying delay. Some analytical methods and the Bellman-Gronwall inequality are used to investigate such sufficient conditions. The notable features of the results obtained in this paper are their simplicity in testing the stability of uncertain dynamical systems with delay and their clarity in giving an insight into system analysis. Our results are also applicable to perturbed time-delay dynamical systems without exact knowledge of the delay. In addition, a numerical example is given to demonstrate the validity of our results.

摘要:
In this paper an algorithm is provided to approximate the tandem behaviour of a finite-capacity G/M/l queueing system, each with a generally distributed inter-arrival time, a single markovian processor, the first-come-first-served queueing discipline, and an instantaneous Beroulli feedback mechanism. In a queueing system with such a feedback mechanism, a fraction of the departing units will instantly merge with the incoming arrival units to be reprocessed again. Furthermore, approximation results are compared with those from a simulation algorithm.

摘要:
A method is proposed for measuring the uncertainties due to lack of information while choosing the strategies in fuzzy game theory problems. The fuzzy payoff table of this problem gives an insight into the derivation of the appropriate fuzzy probabilities for the players strategies. This derivation is based on the concept of probabilities from fuzzy payoffs or fuzzy observations. Different probability combinations of the strategies from the different fuzzy sets of fuzzy probabilities are taken and are used to measure the uncertainties inherent in the problem.

摘要:
A new dynamic programming procedure for optimal identification of econometric systems is presented. It is based on the serial multi-stage analytical model. This model could be applied for the optimization of the date palm production process. The date production operations are fumigation, washing, drying, pulping and packaging. The optimal requirements of the date drying procedure are estimated.

摘要:
System reconstruction refers to the following problem: given a behaviour system, viewed as an overall system, determine which sets of its subsystems are adequate for reconstructing the given system with an acceptable degree of approximation. The reconstruction problem can be solved by finding multiple variable relationships in complex data. To deal with this problem, we apply the idea of qualitative reasoning as discussed in artificial intelligence. The basic idea is to convert continuous data into discrete data (e.g. through clustering) so that qualitative rules can be constructed. In this paper a method of compressing data (called the Lebesgue discretization) is proposed to establish relationships between the dependent variable and other variables. Qualitative rules can be constructed from this relationship and then stored in a knowledge base. This technique also facilitates automated knowledge acquisition.
