摘要:
An explicit multirate piecewise constant sampled state feedback (MPCSSF) control for linear periodic continuous-time systems is presented, which is based on a revised generalized reachability gramian first introduced by Al-Rahmani and Franklin. Using MPCSSF control, the LQR optimal problem for linear periodic systems is reduced to the LQR optimal problem for discrete-time linear periodic systems. It is shown that there is a unique optimal solution, which calls for solving a difference periodic Riccati equation, iff the assumptions of controllability (stabilizability) and observability (detectability) on the original system hold. The MPCSSF control can be viewed as an extension of Al-Rahmani and Franklin's method to the case of multirate state sampling.

We discretizen-th order linear systems with variable structure control under a particular discretisation scheme and analyse these systems in detail. The occurrence and structure of pseudo-sliding modes give insight into the corresponding sliding modes for continuous systems, and enable the relation between the system parameters and the stepsize to be explored. By means of constructing asymptote hyperplanes on which the system trajectories diverge, an algorithm is developed that calculates an upper bound of stepsize, within which the system will remain in a neighbourhood of switching hyperplanes. A sufficient condition for the existence of pseudo-sliding mode is derived. This discretisation helps one to understand the inherent properties of computer controlled variable structure control systems. The analysis is illustrated with simulation studies of second and third-order systems.

摘要:
We propose a new design method for a finite-dimensional model reference adaptive control of a class of non-linear distributed systems with input and output disturbances, when only input and output measurements are available. We consider the case where the relative degree of the dominant part of the plant is arbitrary, and introduce the idea of quasi-sliding mode in variable structure systems theory which can avoid the chattering problem. The proposed method assures that any accuracy of the output error is obtained in any finite time, independently of the presence of bounded disturbances, non-linearity and unmodelled dynamics and that all signals in the closed-loop system are uniformly bounded. Finally, we show the effectiveness of the proposed method by a simple numerical example.

摘要:
Econometric use of information theory in dynamic models is briefly reviewed for both modelling and estimation purposes. As an example, two types of stochastic process models, one linear and the other logistic, are developed for application in economic growth models. These models are suitable for understanding the structure of the growth-inducing and growth-retarding effects of exports in the phenomenal economic growth in the newly industrializing countries of Asia over the last two decades.
