摘要:
A new method is presented to obtain a balanced reduced model for non-minimal discrete systems without calculating the full-order balancing transformation, which tends to be ill-conditioned for the system that has very nearly uncontrollable or unobservable modes, The method is based on finding the eigenspaces associated with the large and small eigenvalues of the product WcWoof the controllability and observability gramians using the ordered Schur decomposition. The method utilizes the weakly coupled subsystem to find the reduced order model from which the balanced reduced model is obtained. The proposed method is illustrated by several examples

摘要:
A method of mapping of continuous-time control SISO systems to their discrete equivalents is presented. A single-objective Padé -type technique of approximation is considered and two practically important requirements are taken into account: stability of a discrete controller and non-oscillatory shape of an actuation signal. The approximation method leading to the computer-oriented procedure for obtaining the parameters of discrete controller is illustrated with a numerical example, and a comparison with some other methods is also presented

摘要:
Sinha (1990) gave a sufficient condition for the exponential stability of infinite delay systems. We demonstrate, via an explicit counter-example, that this result is, in fact, incorrect. This result holds only for bounded delay systems.
