摘要:
A new variable structure model reference adaptive control scheme is proposed in this paper to achieve robustness to bounded disturbance. A key feature of this scheme is that the knowledge of neither the upper bound on the disturbance nor the upper bound on the norm of the matching controller parameters is required. Another advantage of the scheme is its zero output error tracking

摘要:
In this paper an adaptive control system with a periodic disturbance external model is considered for plants which are not necessarily of minimum phase. An external disturbance model which sets up outside the feedback loop is used to reject the external disturbance. As the parameters of disturbance model and plant model are not known, the adaptive control technique is applied. In this design one estimator is adopted for both plant model and disturbance model estimation. Stability analysis is provided, supported by a numerical simulation example

摘要:
Stability analysis of continuous-time, indirect, pole placement, adaptive control with input rate constraint is presented in this paper. It is shown that with an appropriate controller design, the closed-loop system is robustly stable for a class of stable minimum-phase plants in the sense that all the signals in the loop remain bounded in the presence of modelling uncertainties and bounded disturbances. It is also shown that if the plant is free from modelling uncertainties and disturbances, and if the control input rate remains unsaturated for a finite period of time, then the closed-loop system will asymptotically be characterized by the desired closed-loop poles within this time period

摘要:
Consider an optimal intensity allocation problem of a non-markovian queueing network with a single server. Both the arrival and service processes are modelled by point processes with stochastic intensities. All the stations share a single service facility. After finishing service at one station, a customer switches to another station or leaves the system according to specific probabilities. A linear holding cost is incurred at each station. The objective is to control the arrival intensity at each station and schedule the service intensity at all stations so that the expected discounted cost over an infinite horizon is minimized. The main result is that in the class of non-idling control policies, the optimal intensity is of a bang-bang type and the optimal scheduling rule turns out to be the Klimov's rule; whereas in the larger class of control policies that permits enforced idling, the optimal control rule is a modified static policy. The approach combines a point process calculus with dynamic programming

摘要:
A direct method to solve an optimal control problem by parametrizing both state and open-loop control variables is developed. This technique is designed to suppress the undesirable vibrations of a rectangular plate by open-closed loop control applied at discrete points in space. The closed-loop mechanism is assumed to be proportional to displacement. The measure of performance of the structure is taken as a combination of its total energy and the penalty terms describing the expenditure of the open-closed loop forces used in the control process. Using modal expansion and an appropriate transformation, the optimal control of a distributed parameter system is reduced to the optimal control of a linear time-varying lumped parameter system. Next, a computationally efficient formulation to evaluate the optimal control and trajectory of the structure, based on shifted Legendre polynomial approximations of the state variable and each open-loop control variable, is developed. This converts the linear quadratic problem into a mathematical programming problem, where a necessary condition for optimality is derived as a system of linear algebraic equations. A minimization algorithm is then used to determine numerically the feedback parameters of the closed-loop control. A numerical example involving a simply supported plate is provided to substantiate the theoretical results by demonstrating the effectiveness of the proposed method. The results of computer simulation studies compare favourably to optimal solutions obtained by the variational method (Blanton and Sadek 1992), indicating that the suggested approach provides better control of the vibrating plate

摘要:
This paper addresses the problem of real symmetric solutions of the general algebraic Riccati equation (GARE) with an indefinite quadratic term. The GARE arises in linear quadratic differential games, in the stabilization of uncertain systems, robust optimal control and disturbance attenuation problems. Using the properties of the solutions of the differential equation corresponding to the GARE and the related conclusions of differential games, we have established the main results of this paper. Theorems 1 and 2

摘要:
In this paper the problem of non-parametric identification of a static system is considered in the presence of errors in both dependent and independent variables. Identification is based on the orthogonal series expansion. Errors in independent variables are modelled in two ways: as pointwise errors, and as errors caused by an averaging. Sufficient conditions for MISE consistency are proved in both cases.

摘要:
A new method of increasing manoeuvring target tracking performance is presented. The target manoeuvring is modelled as process white gaussian noise so that the system equations to which optimal filtering theory applies can be obtained. A multi-model adaptive Kalman filter is developed to estimate the target positions, based on process noise covariance matching and multi-model measurement noise. In the conventional adaptive filter, only one of process noise and measurement noise covariance matching can be done in a program. In this algorithm, the tracking filter estimates the covariance of process noise and measurement noise simultaneously to increase the accuracy of the conventional real-time tracking filter. Finally, an illustrative numerical example is included.

摘要:
LetN= (V, A, c, I) be an input network with node setV, arc setA, non-negative arc weight functionscandl. Let σ be the amount of data to be transmitted. The multichannel quickest-path problem is to find a transmission strategy by which the data are partitioned into a set of parts, each of which is sent by a selected routing path inNsuch that the time required to ship σ units of data from the source to the sink is minimal. In this paper a mathematical description of the multichannel quickest-path problem is first given. Then a necessary and sufficient condition for the optimal strategy of the problem is obtained, and a set of formulae of the optimal strategy is derived. Then the multichannel quickest-path problem with capacity constraint is discussed, and a shortest-path first method for the capacity assignment is proposed. Finally, a general algorithm suitable for dynamic network environment with time complexity O(e2+ ne log n) is designed.
