摘要:
The non-linearity in a discrete system governed by the Hammerstein functional is identified. The system is driven by a random while input signal and the output is disturbed by a random white noise. No parametric a priori information concerning the non-linearity is available and non-parametric algorithms are proposed. The algorithms are derived from the trigonometric as well as Hermite orthogonal series. It is shown that the algorithms converge to the unknown characteristic in a pointwise manner and that the mean integrated square error converges to zero as the number of observations tends to infinity. The rate of convergence is examined. A numerical example is also given.

摘要:
A Fokker-Planck equation for a class of stochastic distributed systems, described by a distributed probability densityp(.x,z,l)is derived. These processes are defined by their first two transition moments expressed in terms of Green's functions; and by using very simple assumptions, one can write the equations of the state moments themselves, therefore the Fokker-Planck equation. The main interest of this approach is to avoid the problem of seeking the probability density of the transition as well as the use of the Chapman-Kolmogorov equation. This is a statistical viewpoint stressing the absence of the stochastic differential equation. The equations of the stale moments are then used to analyse the stability and the sensitivity of the stochastic distributed system.

摘要:
A fuzzy outranking relation to solve a multiple criteria decision-making (MCDM) problem involving a discrete set of incomparable decision alternatives is investigated. The relation is exploited to rank the alternatives in various classes in a preferential order for their sequential implementation using fuzzy graph theory. A numerical example is solved to highlight the procedure.

摘要:
The design and implementation of a robust control algorithm for slow non-linear processes are presented. The algorithm is derived using the pole placement approach and the dominant roots concept. In particular, the presence of an integral action—in the three-term controller—on the error ensures robust offset rejection for any constant load disturbance acting on the plant. The algorithm is shown to be practical, robust, and successful for slow time-delay process regulation. A simulation example illustrates the main features of the method.

摘要:
A computer-controlled regulation for the glucose in the metabolic system is achieved, and fourth-order digital model, obtained from the state differential equations representing the system metabolism. The sample time is chosen sufficiently large to suit the slow metabolic system. A long time delay, imposed by the autoanalyser used for the monitoring and continuous measurement of the glucose concentration, is introduced. A digital proportional-integral-derivative controller is proposed to control the metabolic system and to obtain a zero steady-state error for the closed-loop dynamics. The controller is shown to be robust, using the bounding polynomials suggested by Kharitonov's stability criterion. A family of well-behaved responses are obtained, together with their corresponding internal states. Pole placement is used to optimize the parameters of the controller and to achieve the main goal of controlling the glucoregulatory system.

摘要:
The problem of minimizing the number of links and buses in a digital system subject to a given set of concurrency constraints among data transfers is studied. The notion of the transfer graph (TG) is introduced which depicts the data transfer paths and concurrency requirements in the system, A very simple node labelling procedure is applied on the nodes of the TG, which enables one to make a direct assignment of transfers to buses without going through any elaborate computational steps.

摘要:
The parameter estimation of a large-scale interconnected static linear system is treated with the structure described by an interconnection matrix. The standard least-squares algorithm is investigated, and its ability to recover, with probability one. composite system parameters from the data accessible in the complex system is examined. The limit properties of the least-squares estimate in the particular context of a complex system are derived, and both local (referring to individual system elements) and structural (relating to the complex system in the large) necessary and sufficient applicability conditions are established.

摘要:
The question of the detritivore mediated co-existence of two competing donor species is treated. It is shown that two donor-recipient systems linked by interspecific competition become permanent if and only if the competing donor species are in coexistence. The introduction of two detritivores cannot stabilize the system in the case of bistability or dominance of competing donor species and in this case one of the donor species becomes extinct.

摘要:
Design procedures of state-space self-tuning controllers are described for both the filtered CARMA and CARIMA models. While closely resembling the generalized approach of Clarke-Kanjilal-Mohtadi (CKM), the proposed methods use the minimum possible dimension for the associated implicit-delay state-space model, and practical issues such us feedforward for linearization, regulation, servo-following, disturbance and offset elminution are considered. The resulting conipart-mental design allows the adjustment of tuning parameters to affecl different control characteristics. For the state-space self-tuners based on the filtered CARIMA model, two different forms can be distinguished: the normal form resembles the controller configuration based on the CARMA model, while the integrating form resembles the CKM self-tuner. Satisfactory results are observed in a simulation study of using the proposed self-tuners to control the steam temperature of a solar central receiver.

摘要:
The reduction of chatter in variable structure control (VSC) systems is considered. In this scheme the time derivative of the control law is discontinuous on a suitable manifold of an augmented order state space. For the case of differential equations with uncertain RHS, the proposed scheme maintains the robustness properties of classical VSC if an estimator of inaccessible state components is introduced. A separation property, together with the convergence of the proposed estimator are proved. Some simulation results relating to an induction motor control problem are finally presented.
