摘要:
This paper considers the development of a general model algorithmic control (MAC). It is shown that the proposed structure contains all the features and principles of MAC. The scheme developed allows choices of prediction and reference trajectories. The regulation effect is studied and non-minimum phase systems are also exemplified. The tracking and regulation properties of the proposed MAC depend on the choice of regulator and controller parameters. Results of simulation studies indicate the effectiveness of the developed algorithmic control.

摘要:
A new method of using discrete Legendre orthogonal polynomials (DLOPs) is proposed for the analysis and identification of linear time invariant discrete time systems. It is based on representing the DLOP expansion vector of the delayed functiony(k— 1) in terms of that of the original discrete functiony(k). Several examples are worked out to illustrate the utility of the method.

摘要:
A sliding horizon control strategy proposed for discrete time-varying systems is examined in terms of its stability and robustness properties. It is found that, under the given conditions, the controller renders a discrete time-varying system exponentially stable in the large and the additive effect of a sector-type non-linearity can be tolerated to an extent depending on the design parameters. An easy-to-test stabilizability condition is presented. Dual results for a corresponding estimator are also given.

摘要:
A new method of analysing vibrating mechanical systems by the single-term Walsh series approach (STWS) is presented. Exciting forces that could not be expressed by simple analytic functions have been easily represented by the block-pulse series. Examples are presented to demonstrate the efficiency and simplicity of the STWS method. The results obtained compare well with those of the well-known standard methods of analysing vibrating systems.

Non-standard posynomial geometric programs are non-linear programs that can be transformed into posynomial geometric programs. In this paper, new classes of nonstandard geometric programs are introduced. We focus on minimax posynomial programs and fractional posynomial programs. A complete duality theory is developed for each class.

摘要:
If a system is used intermittently, the repair during non-use periods may not always disrupt the normal use. This paper discusses the steady-state conditional availability of intermittently used systems during the actually needed period. Two modes of failure are treated: fail-only-in-use and fail-anytime. Three processing disciplines regarding the interrupted need (due to a system failure) are treated: fail-resume, fail-repeat, and fail-inconvenience. AH the distributions concerned are assumed to be exponential for analytic tractability. The system failure is detected only when there is a need. The results of this study are summarized in a table with various degenerate cases for the purpose of indirect model checking.
