摘要:
It is well known that the eigenvectors of a sampled-data system are the same as the eigenvectors of the continuous time system from which the sampled-data system has been derived provided that the eigenvalues of the continuous time system arc distinct. In this paper the eigenvectors of a sampled-data system with confluent eigenvalues arc deduced in terms of the eigenvectors of the continuous time system from which the sampled -data system has boon derived. The theory is illustrated by numerical examples.

摘要:
A stochastic distributed parameter system of a parabolic type is dealt with. The system is stochastic duo to a distributed multiplicative gain. The gain is a non-linear function of a Wiener process. By applying a finite-difference scheme on the spatial coordinate, and using a stochastic Linpunov type functional, sufficient conditions for n weak stability of the system's solutions, are derived.

摘要:
A simulator of urban hydrologic networks based primarily on geometric descriptors is described. Its application is demonstrated using data from the Northwood Gaging Installation in Baltimore, Maryland. The simulator incorporates a binary tree model of the network, a polygon representation of the storm geometry, and time-varying rainfall intensity to produce simulated hydrographs of flow. A comparison of the simulated hydrographs with the experimental runoff graphs is made.

摘要:
Generalized exponential functions are defined and developed for the analysis and aynthesis of dynamical systems. Approximation of conventional response transforms in the 8-domain is implemented by utilizing non-integer-order complex operator 8v. The analysis technique is applied to a non-inductive long cable and to network systems. In addition, for the synthesis, Ĺaguorre-Ĺeo functions in the 8-domain are extended into the non-integer-order 8v-domain in terms of generalized exponential functions. 摘要:
An electronic model of a cardiac pacemaker cell is developed from a study of the Hodgkin—.Huxley equations describing the dynamic behaviour of excitable tissue membranes. The model is based on the functional hypothesis that the controlling factor is the leakage conductance of the membrane to sodium ions and that this is increased by stimulation of the sympathetic nerves and decreased by stimulation of the parasympathetic nerves. The resulting model shows close agreement with experimental results obtained by Levy and Ziesko on the heart of the anaesthetised dog. The model forms part of an circulatory-parameter analogue of the human circulatory system currently being constructed as an aid to studying the manner in which the parameters and control loops of this system adapt to prolonged periods of heavy exercise.

Mathematical programming is used to dovelop a method for load flow analysis for large power systems such that the computation time is independent of the number of loops. Computational times are shown to compare favourably with existing methods.
