摘要:
In this paper, we treat a social choice function as a decision principle and apply the concept of the rational decision principle to it. Then we derive the concept of the order rational decision principle. We show that the rational decision principle is suitable for an integral framework for a social choice, as well as for decision making under uncertainty and multiobjective decision making. We also show that some decision principles are considered to be models of Arrow's decision principle in a weaker sense.

摘要:
The computation of various geometrical and topological properties of objects, as well as the inter-relationships among them, is useful and important in image processing and computer vision problems. Many of these properties and relations are ill-defined and presented here are some approaches to define them using fuzzy set theoretic concepts. It is assumed that the objects are segmented into a two-tone mask from a grey tone image. The properties considered are bigness, position, convexity, circularity, elongatedness, straightness and angular orientation. The relationships considered are relative position, relative orientation, degree of surroundedness and the degree of between ness. A man-machine interaction based on these proper-lies is also proposed and illustrative examples of the results of executed algorithms are presented.

摘要:
This paper considers control of an elastic robotic arm of two links based on non–linear inversion and pole assignment for stabilization. The design is performed in two steps. First, based on non-linear inversion, a non–linear controller is designed for the trajectory control of the joint angles using joint torquers. The inverse controller accomplishes trajectory control of the joint angles, this excites the elastic modes of the arm. In order to damp the elastic oscillations, a stabilizer is designed for a linearized system about the terminal state using the pole assignment technique. In the closed–loop system, first the inverse controller acts when a command is given, and the stabilizer automatically switches when the joint angle trajectory enters a specified neighbourhood of the final commanded position. Simulation results are presented to show that in the closed–loop system accurate joint angle trajectory tracking and elastic mode stabilization can be accomplished in spite of payload uncertainty in the system.

摘要:
A recursive least-squares parameter estimation algorithm based on the Poisson moment functional (PMF) approach for S1SO systems in open-loop is presented in this paper. The proposed algorithm is suitable for on-line parameter estimation of real-world problems. Normalized PMFs are used to improve the performance of the algorithm in noisy conditions.

An efficient Petri net approach for enumerating the sets of path identifiers for the reliability analysis of broadcasting networks is presented. The sets of path identifiers are enumerated with the help of a place-to-transilion incident matrix of the Petri net model of Ihe given network. The reachability, marking and firing concepts of Petri nets are used to give a Petri net interpretation to certain properties of the network. The proposed method is applicable to ST-connectivity, SKT-connectivity and SAT-connectivity problems. The sets of path identifiers are generated in ascending order of cardinality which is one of the basic requirements for efficiency in most of the techniques available for obtaining the symbolic and numerical system reliability expressions. The developed algorithm has been programmed in FOR-TRAN-77 and tested on various types of data. The proposed method directly obtains the sels of path identifiers for SKT- and SAT-connectivity problems without the necessity of generating the ST-minimal path sets. In comparison to the previously published approach, the algorithm is conceptually simpler and requires less computer time and memory space. Examples have been provided to demonstrate the effectiveness of the method. A comparison of CPU time and memory requirement of the present method with an existing method has also been given.

Linear discrete-time dynamical systems xk + I = Axk + kwith constrained inputs ck ∈ ω, for which the matrix A possesses the property of leaving a proper cone AK + positively invariant, i.e. AK + ⊂ K + . Necessary and sufficient conditions guarantee that a non-empty set 𝒟(K; a, b) ⊂ Rn, obtained from the intersection of translated proper cones, is positively invariant for motions of the system. Both the homogeneous and inhomogeous cases are considered. In the latter case, the external behaviour of motions, i.e. for trajectories originating from x0 ⊂ Rn/𝒟(K; a, b) (respectively,xo ⊂ Rn) is studied in terms of attractive and contractivity of the set 𝒟(K; a, b). The global attractivity conditions of 𝒟(K; a, b) are also given. It is shown how the results presented can be used to solve the saturated state feedback regulator problem.

This paper is concerned with the robust stability conditions for linear perturbed systems with saturating actuators in the discrete-time case. Both non-linear and linear perturbations are considered. Two types of controller, a state feedback and a dynamic controller, are introduced to guarantee asymptotic stability of the perturbed system.

摘要:
A new method for simulating cyclically switching systems (power electronics circuits) is presented. Partial results of this paper were reported at I.E.E.E. Power Electronics Specialists Conference (PESC ‘89), Milwaukee. The starting idea is the application of a familiar tool for engineers: the Laplace transform for studying such systems, whose basic cell is an electronic converter. The switching elements of the converter are extracted in a two-port (alternor), which is defined in order to simulate the possible cyclically circuit operation both in continuous and discontinuous conduction mode. The remaining part of the circuit is linear time-invariant; its nodal equations are formulated. By adding the generalized alternor equations, an s-domain system of equations is obtained. This describes the global dynamic behaviour of the converter. The s-domain solution is computed and its inverse Laplace transform is found. The transient and steady-state responses, computed in such a way, mirror exactly the converter waveforms. All the steps of the algorithm can be implemented in a computer program that makes use of a symbolic computer package, such as MACSYMA. The method, suitable for the simulation of any cyclically switching system, is exemplified here by the analysis of a DC-to-DC buck-boost converter.

摘要:
The idea of duality in control theory results from the striking symmetry between the properties of controllability and observability of linear systems. It is well known that the duality between the optimum regulator problem (ORP) and the optimum estimator problem (OEP) can be used to obtain properties of the OEP from the ORP and vice versa; moreover, computer programs designed for ORPscan be used for solving OEPsand vice versa. Emphasis is laid on the duality between a controller design technique, based on frequency–shaped performance indices, the extended optimum regulator problem, and a technique for solving the optimum state estimation problem for an LT1 system with additive coloured noise, the extended optimum estimator problem.
