摘要:
This article is concerned with the identification of unknown parameters for a proposed non-linear time-variant, multivnriable model, that is observed in an additive statistically known white Gaussian noisy environment. The estimation problem is investigated by partitioning the system into subsequent sub-systems to yield a computationally more pragmatical solution. An optimal predictor-corrector maximum-likelihood state estimator and a stochastic hill-climbing procedure are delineated for solving the identification problem. Two particular applications are furnished to illustrate the suggested technique. In the first application, the approach presented is carried out to determine the inertia constant and damping coefficient of a synchronous machine in an unsteady operation, The second application is devoted to tho evaluation of the moments of inertia for a rigid body rotating about its principal axes and subject to external random disturbances and control torques. It is highlighted for the two preceding applications that, though the equations of motion are non-linear in the unknown quantities and/or tho state variables, the solutions obtained via partitioning are expressible in a linear form.

摘要:
We consider a chain of production operations separated by inventories, where two different systems-for replenishing the inventories at each stage may be adopted. In the first, the serial information-flow system, each stage works against orders placed only by the following stage. In the second system, called the parallel information-flow system, every stage in the network works against the actual customer demand, materializing at the finished-goods stage.

摘要:
The basic objective in this paper is to bring down inventory carrying cost, in a multistage production inventory system, by incorporating the idea of service time in the model. The paper considers models with two types of information flow: the serial information flow, in which the inventories at each stage are measured against, orders placed by the following stage, and the parallel information flow, in which they are measured against customer orders materializing at the finished goods stage.

摘要:
Though there are several methods for estimating the order of the autoregressive process, it is hoped that it can be estimated with high sensitivity. In this paper, an approach based on an information measure which characterizes the autoregressive process has boon made to the estimation of the order of the process. A mixing operator, which is found by adding an independent random variable to the sub-sequence of the original data sequence, is introduced. By applying the operator to the conditional entropies, we developed a statistic which estimates the order of the autoregressive process. Results of computer simulation are presented to verify and compare this algorithm with other methods.

摘要:
Changes with respect to controllability or uncontrollability behaviour of perturbed linear and non-linear systems are examined. The perturbations are considered to be either arbitrary or the result of the action of a transformation group. Certain conclusions concerning the transformation of electrical networks are drawn.

摘要:
A new designing method of multivariable linear time-varying tracking systems with stochastic disturbances for polynomial command inputs is proposed. It has been shown that it is possible to choose the matrices of gain elements placed in feedbacks and parallel paths of the closed-loop system so that the output y(t) tracks the polynomial command input v(t) with (E expectation operator).

摘要:
This paper discusses the model of a discrete production-inventory system by assuming the production decision policy to be based on present inventory and sales forecast, Two cases have been recognized, viz. (i) constant decision parameter and (ii) time varying decision parameter. For the first case a stability analysis has been carried out and the system parameters are evaluated by using a simulation procedure, while for the second ease an optimization analysis has been made within the framework of Wiener filtering theory. In both the cases a quadratic cost functional has been minimized.

摘要:
The stability of a particular class of shaping filters, namely, the periodic shaping filters, is considered in this paper. The main objective of the present paper is to show that by considering the output covariance function of this periodic shaping filter it is possible to determine the stability of this class of shaping filters in the bounded input-bounded output sense. Furthermore, it is demonstrated that if γ(t, τ) is separable intand τ, and the components of the separating vectors that result in the scalar covariant function are jointly linearly independent over one period of the time interval, then the resulting shaping filter is uniformly asymptotically stable.
