摘要:
This paper presents a new algorithm for on-line generation of sensitivity functions which is based on correlation analysis. The algorithm is derived through system identification methods. Special attention is devoted to measuring the sensitivity function of a system with small parameter variations, which is significant for practical problem solving. The algorithm permits sensitivity functions to be calculated for systems with an unknown pulse response function during normal system operation

摘要:
The guassian Markov process plays an important role in the identification and prediction of systems and the spectrum estimate of the time series. However, we are often confronted with the non-gaussian time series. In this paper, a method is discussed which transforms the data from non-gaussian to gaussian. It is shown that this procedure preserves the amount of Kullback information under the transformation. To verify the transformation statistically computer simulation was carried out.

By using a differential polynomial algebra one can obtain a new definition for the distributed transfer functions of distributed systems which apply even when these latter are governed by partial differential equations with space-varying coefficients. We so have a new ‘ system approach ’ to distributed systems, which provides synthesis methods similar to that of Guillemin and Truxal's.

摘要:
This paper presents two different algorithms for parameter estimation of dynamic systems. Both algorithms operate in two stages which are coupled together in a bootstrap manner. The effectiveness of the two algorithms is demonstrated by a suitable numerical example. A case study using real daily maximum temperature data of Delhi is also included.

摘要:
The recent co-state coordination algorithm for the two-level optimization of nonlinear discrete dynamical systems with separable quadratic cost functions is specialized to ensure the satisfaction of both necessary and local sufficiency conditions. For an important subclass of the problems, global sufficiency can be guaranteed. This is demonstrated on a simple example where previous methods have yielded worse local optima.

A unate function can easily be identified on a Karnaugh map from the well-known property that it consists only of essential prime implicants which intersect at a common implicant. The additional property that the plot of a unate functionF(x1⃛xn) on a Karnaugh map should possess in order thatFmay also be 1-realizable (n≤6) has been found. It has been shown that the 1-realizability of a unate functionFcorresponds to the ‘ compactness ’ of the plot ofF. No resort to the inequalities is made, and no pre-processing such as positivizing and ordering of the given function is required.

Stability and boundedness conditions of pulse modulated feedback systems are derived in this paper. These conditions, based on the frequency domain approach, extend the range of applicability of this approach to systems without the strict sector non-linearity. Geometric interpretations of the results in the Popov plane are also presented.

摘要:
When we need to make a simplified model of the air pollution phenomena for planning use, it is necessary to choose an optimal appropriate form and dimension of the source vector in some defined sense. There are various kinds and sizes of pollution sources in an urban area. It is desirable to divide them into some groups and set them to representative pointwise sources, taking their distribution and emission intensities into consideration. This paper proposes a quantitative measure to divide sources into groups on the basis of the Monte-Carlo variance reduction method. We develop the concept of the representative pointwise source as a potential function of the air pollution which represents the actual types of pollution sources. The results are illustrated by a numerical example and the application to a real air-shed is presented. The availability of the new measure for the practical optimal location plan of monitoring stations referrred.
